25 The Gospels

The word ‘gospel’ means ‘good news’.

There are three Gospels

The Gospel Of salvation, entered through faith in whom Jesus is and what He has done, is doing and will do for us

The Gospel of Redemption entered into through faith in what Jesus did at Calvary

The Gospel of The Kingdom for which both the above gospels are the entry points through faith in all Jesus has promised to citizens of His Kingdom

Salvation is a relationship with The Father as a citizen of His Kingdom and with Jesus as ruler of this Kingdom

The Father, The Holy Spirit and Jesus are all God but assume different roles in The Kingdom.

The Father is our provider and comforter

The Lord Jesus is our protector

The Holy Spirit is our guide and teacher

Our relationship is with The Father is as His adopted spiritual child and we are part of His spiritual family which Jesus belongs to so that He is our spiritual step brother.

We serve Jesus out of love for a family member and not out of fear of judgment for not obeying Him.

Evangelism should be warning people about hell but also preaching God’s love for them who has done all He can to help them avoid going to hell and who desires a personal relationship with them and who has prepared heaven for them with all its delights HE has prepared for them.

All God asks us is for us to maintain our side of the relationship through faith, lordship, holiness, obedience and expressing his quality of Love in all we do.

Jesus has told people 80% of people who call themselves Christians will not go up in the rapture because they know about him do not know him personally.  They know Him and His requirements but do not relate to him personally and salvation is all about relationships
