Should a Christian be interested in heaven or hell?

You will be going to one of these places for a very long time after you die on earth. Perhaps you need to know what is in each place so you can work towards the one you desire to go to.

You may also want to find out the requirements of its king for getting to that place so that you will go where you desire to and not end up in the wrong place.

Which king you serve when you die is whose spiritual kingdom you go to after death.

Once you have found the requirements of its king of the place you desire to go too after you die, you would need to adjust your lifestyle to make certain you live as the king of that place requires you to live to go to his kingdom after you died.

If you are not fully informed about the requirements of getting to the kingdom you desire to go to you may end up going to the wrong place because you are not living as a king required you too, to go to his kingdom. Going to the wrong place would not be a very desirable thing especially if it was heaven you were trying top get to and ended up in hell.

Rejecting or being indifferent to the requirements of one of the kings will mean you will end up in the other king’s kingdom.

So should a Christian be interested in heaven and hell and information about them?

Yes! So they know what is in each of these two places as well as the requirements to enter each one, so that they will not go to the wrong place they have chosen to go to when they die but to the one they chose to be with for eternity and so they can pattern their lifestyle on the requirements of the king they choose to be with forever!

Salvation: Being removed from the authority of Satan’s Kingdom to that of the Kingdom of Jesus.

Redemption: Having all that separated you from God being removed by Jesus at Calvary so you can be a citizen of His Kingdom.

Righteousness: The state a citizen of The Kingdom of God is in because they are in a correct relationship with God.

Justification: God declares we have been showed to be in a correct relationship with Jesus and so have become a citizen of The Kingdom of God

Sanctification: God declaring that you belong to His Kingdom.

Holiness: Removing all that is not of God from your life by rejecting all Satan suggests you do or offers you to do.

Fellowship: A relationship with those of The Kingdom of God where you jointly do the purpose of The King, even if it is only correctly relating to each other.

Evangelism: Promoting and demonstrating The Kingdom of God to those who belong to the enemy kingdom and show that The Kingdom of Jesus is superior and more worthy of belonging too than that of Satan.

Spiritual Warfare: This has two aspects:

The use of the delegated authority of Jesus to promote The Kingdom of God as well as to defend it and also too attack the kingdom of Satan and hinder or stop his plans

Evangelism to remove people from the kingdom of Satan to The Kingdom of God and by this plunders the kingdom of Satan.

Everything you do is in some way an expression of these things except for inactivity which really is helping Satan’s kingdom as it is not promoting God’s Kingdom or does His work unless it is because God is giving you rest from the battle.

There are two kings fighting a continuous battle over the souls of every person on earth who has lived, is living and will live and which will not end until one king is removed and destroyed. This battle is for your soul.

On one side of the battle is God (who does only what is best for people). On the other side is Satan, who knows his time is short and seeks to destroy God’s creation and take to be with him in hell as many of God’s created people as he can.

We, on earth, are in the midst of this fighting and are actually what is being fought over as each king tries to obtain your allegiance, so that you will be a follower of him on earth and be with him forever after you die.

You cannot escape being involved in this battle. You are either fighting against Satan, as a follower of Jesus should be doing or you are either doing nothing about the battle (and helping Satan) and may even be fighting on the side of Satan, attacking Jesus, His Kingdom and His people. There are no fence sitters in this Battle. You are either helping Jesus or by indifference helping the other side (Satan).

If you do nothing about the battle (even though you say you are a follower of Jesus), you are not obeying Jesus and will end up with Satan in his kingdom of hell.

Satan knows he cannot defeat God but does not tell this to his followers on earth. He tries to deceive as many people as he can so that they will follow him and will end up in his kingdom of hell to be ruled and tormented by him forever.

If you desire to go to heaven, you really have no choice but to follow Jesus, resist Satan and be used by Jesus to destroy Satan’s kingdom, works and purposes

Those who do not believe in the devil

Those who do not believe in the devil, or do not believe Satan can attack you, ask yourself where evil comes from. God is Love and does not tempt you to sin as that would not be an expression of His Love to you. The only alternative is Satan and people he motivates and guides as the source of the evil in the world as well as all the evil that happens to Christians. Beside, God would be hypocritical if evil came from Him. He would be asking you to do certain things then doing things to stop you doing them.

There is a difference between God allowing evil to happen to us as a result of our free will choices and Him causing evil to occur to us.

Satan exists.

The Bible says God is Love. Every good (Godly thing) comes from Him. To say evil also comes from God is to call God a liar and to say that the Bible has error in it.

Evil occurs as a result of Satan suggesting it to a person and that person choosing to do it. God will not go against our free will but tries to warn us what will happen if we go ahead with the action.

Every person sins when they give into the lusts (wrong feelings and desires) they know are wrong which Satan has tried to arouse in them to cause them to sin.

Christians are a prime target of Satan, as he tries to destroy their faith in God as well as to doubt God’s Love for them. Non-Christians are already in his kingdom and all he needs to do with them is to maintain his control over them so that he can use them for his purposes.

One of the greatest traps Satan has for Christians is for them to believe they are going to heaven because they declare Jesus as their the lord but actually tell no one about Him or do not do the ministry He has called all Christians to do as His (God’s) representatives.

If you love the good King Jesus, you will search out His requirements of you to the best of your ability so that you will serve Him as He desires you too in whatever He asks of you, regardless of the cost to you, because you love Him and trust what He allows to happen to you.

This expression of loving service to Jesus is how you maintain your salvation and through this make certain that you go to heaven.

Life is a training and filtering process

People look at life as if it is everything, forgetting it is God’s training ground to prepare you for eternity as well as to filter out those who will obey Jesus from those who will not. This is why life is so important. It is where you determine where you will spend eternity. It is also where you learn what you need to know to get to heaven or hell, as well as how to live in heaven when you get there.

Both kings try to have you follow them so you need to know what to do to successfully navigate your life and prepare properly to be forever with Jesus. This need is the main reason we have been given The Holy Spirit to guide and help us.

The two choices everyone faces

The Bible states that Jesus is ruler of all. He is the ultimate King of all that exists with power of life and death over all things, including you, the enemy king and his followers. There is no King equal to or higher than Him.

One day you will face Him and He will look at how you obeyed His spiritual principles.  In other words what you did with the life and things He gave you. According to how you obeyed God in these things will be your eternal fate.

If you reject His will for you, you are also rejecting His spiritual principles. You will then be found guilty of rebellion against Him. The penalty for rebellion against a king is death. This means you will be cast out of His presence and sent to where those who have rebelled against Him are sent. This prison is hell, where Satan rules and where he and His Demons viciously torment all the people sent there.

They go there because there is no other place to send them. Hell was not made for people but for demons but when mankind rebelled they placed themselves in the kingdom of Satan and hell is on the only place his kingdom exists after death.

If you submit to King Jesus, and do what He asks you to do you will go to where God rules (heaven) and enjoy all the good things God has prepared for you on earth as well as there for you.

How does Jesus fit into this scenario?

God does not expect you to do what you do not know you need to do. This means sin is doing something you deliberately know is wrong according to the guidelines of God.

At one time or another, everyone has deliberately disobeyed God through disobeying His revealed spiritual principles shown them by The Holy Spirit in their conscience, and are under the punishment of spiritual death in hell. No one is able to bridge the infinite gap that separates finite mankind from an infinite God which results in spiritual death in hell.

God saw this problem and as He loves the mankind so much He created He sent Jesus to deal with the problem of separation to God that man had made.

Jesus came down showed mankind what God required of them, then died on the cross, sacrificing Himself in place of mankind and taking on Himself the punishment for the rebellion (sins), of everyone that has lived, is living now or will ever live. Because He is God and infinite, Jesus, through His death was able to meet the punishment of everyone that has lived, is living, or will live at any time, anywhere in the universe. He has also met the punishment of every sin that has or will ever be committed so that we no longer will be punished for our sins if we follow Jesus as ourLord.

This means we no longer face punishment for our rebellion, if we repent of it, and can now relate to God continually on a personal basis without the need to do anything except to accept who Jesus is (Lord of all) as well as what He did on the Cross at Calvary and then to obey Him in all He asks us to do for Him.

Now if we sin, all we need to do is too wholeheartedly repent (stop doing the wrong thing) and wholeheartedly continue to try and obey Him. Jesus has met the punishment for our sin and dealt with the spiritual consequences of them so that we no longer have to be concerned about eternal death because of our sins (providing we wholeheartedly try to obey Jesus in all He asks us to do).

Any guilt shame or condemnation for sin now comes from Satan as these were dealt with at Calvary.  The Holy Spirit will convict you a sin is wrong but will not make you feel guilty, ashamed or condemned. Satan does that because all guilt, shame and condemnation was dealt with at Calvary.

So what does God require of you?

You need to make Jesus your King (Lord), accept what He did at Calvary as well as do what God requires of you. It is when you stop trying not to sin that you risk losing your salvation.

No matter how often you fail God, all you need to do is to wholeheartedly repent (stop doing the wrong thing) and to wholeheartedly try and do what He requires of you.  God has already forgiven the sin at Calvary so it is just a matter of wholeheartedly repenting and trying not to do the wrong thing.

Remember that God looks at your attitudes and not at your results.

You must trust His Love, Plans, Purposes and Control of your life and its circumstances.

You must always seek His will for you and to develop the relationship you have with him.

You are to love others with the same quality of Love with which He loves you and others.

You are to love The Father in heaven as your spiritual Father

You are to be guided by The Holy Spirit in all you do and to listen to His teaching about what God desires and requires of you.

God requires you to always wholeheartedly work at your side of the relationship that you have with Him. Then you will always have a correct relationship with the King (Jesus) and will obtain all He has promised you in heaven and on earth as well as any additional rewards you will have in heaven or earth for the service you did for Him while you were here on earth.

Remember that He is always working on His side of the relationship He has with you for your best and requires you to do what is required on you side of he relationship.

Only a fool rejects what God offers them in heaven and replaces it with the temporary pleasures offered on earth by His enemy, Satan, as well as risks having all the torments that all those following Satan will experience after they die and go to hell.

The choice is yours and yours alone. And you will have no one else to blame but yourself if you end up in hell.

Choose wisely. You eternal future depends on it.

Choose God and His things and live forever. Or choose Satan and his temporary things and live in eternal hell.

Why does Jesus allow people to suffer in hell

Jesus does not torment people in hell or cause them to go there to be tormented.

They chose to reject Jesus out of their own freewill and hell is the only place they can be sent too as they are now defiled and cannot enter a holy, undefiled heaven where Jesus is.

Jesus will not go against their free will choice that caused them to go to hell.

Satan is ruler of hell and all that happens there. For Jesus to override the will of Satan in hell, where he has been given rulership, of would make Him as evil as Satan.

Jesus must obey His principles and rules which is why, having made the rules that resulted in people going to hell, He cannot help them as that would make Him a hypocrite.

Why do people go to hell?

When you examine the interplay of the two kingdoms (God and Satan’s) it is obvious.

When Satan rebelled, God made hell for him to live in as Satan could not live anywhere else because all else was God’s Kingdom which is holy and the defiled Satan and demons could not enter into it.

So when man rebels against God by following what Satan suggests they should do, they come under Satan's rule when they die and will suffer his fate. When they die, God cannot put them in heaven and has only hell left for them to go to.

God did not send them to hell to be punished but sent them there because it was the only place left for them to go as they were defiled and could not go to The Kingdom of God.

God does not send people to Satan and hell. They go there because they have rejected God and cannot enter heaven.

It is Satan who torments people and not God. God did not put torments for demons in hell as it was a prison and not a place of physical punishment. It is Satan who has devised the torments of hell and not God.

Hell is where Satan rules and God will not interfere with what happens there as God has given it to Satan to rule.

God does not reject these people. They reject Him and have no other place to go to.

What’s Sin?

Sin is:

Deliberately doing what God does not want you to do and/or

Deliberately ignoring what God desires you to do

In other words, you must know it is wrong, deliberately ignore this fact and keep on doing the wrong thing for it to be sin.

Sin is a result of your selfish desires, fears or coping mechanism being more important to you than your love for God, so that they control you at the time of your sin.

In a sense it is, not loving God in the way you should so that Satan is able to persuade you to accept what He is suggesting and have you reject what God requires of you.

Sin only occurs because you accept what Satan suggests you do. Ignore his suggestions, focus on Jesus and you will not sin. This why the Lordship of Jesus is so important because it keeps you focused on Jesus and more easily able to reject what Satan suggests.

God does not allow Satan to tempt (attack) you more than you are able to manage and He always provides a way to defeat the attack.

1 Cor 10:13. No temptation has come upon you except that of the children of men, but God is faithful, who shall not allow you to be tempted more than whatever you are able, but shall make an exit for your temptation, so that you can endure.

God does not expect you to be sinless but only to wholeheartedly repent of any sin you know you have committed and then wholeheartedly try to live as Jesus requires you too and to fight the attack of Satan.

The Kingdom of God

People say that on earth there are two kingdoms in the spiritual realm: The Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. This is incorrect. The Kingdom of God has no geographic place on earth because it is in the people on earth who are the citizens of The Kingdom of God, whose spirit has been regenerated by The Holy Spirit and is holy to God so that The Kingdom is in them because The Holy Spirit's presence is in them. God is Holy and the earth is defiled. The only kingdom on earth is that of Satan and that is only because Jesus has not claimed it back yet. When Jesus comes back to claim it and rule it, then it will become His Kingdom.

Satan was defeated at Calvary and has no longer any right to rule the earth. Satan also is a prisoner and has no right to even come to the earth. Because of this, he and his Demons can be removed and sent back to Jesus to be punished for coming to earth. Regardless of what else they are doing or claim they can do.

The only true kingdom is The Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan only exists as long as God allows it to exist which is until Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire. The defiled creation is also purified by fire and a new heaven and earth is formed in which The New Jerusalem will exist because The Kingdom of God now includes these new purified, undefiled heaven and earth.

Christians are travellers in enemy territory. Because of this they are always in a state of war. There may not be an actual battle at that time. But they must be always to be ready for one.

As a Christian in enemy territory you should always be ready for the battle. This means you need to know how to identify an attack of the enemy and also how to deal with these attacks.

The two Kings

Everything you do affects both kings in some way.

It will affect one king positively and the other king negatively.

As you do the will of one king, you will affect the will of the opposing king in some way.

As you serve one kingdom, you will affect the opposing king’s kingdom in some way. Usually in a way that is negative to their plans and purposes.

The kings have different plans and purposes. The will of one king will always contradict the will of the other king.

If you ignore what Jesus requires of you, even if only by inactivity you will be serving the opposing king, Satan, and may risk losing your eternal soul.

Choose carefully which king you serve as your eternal soul’s future depends on it.

They are The Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. Each is an expression of the character of their ruler.

The Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God is where God resides. It has always existed as it is where God’s influence and rule is. Heaven exists in it and it is in those followers of Jesus on earth in whom The Holy Spirit’s presence is in and of whom Jesus is Lord of.

The kingdom of Satan.

This is hell where Satan resides. Hell was created to put the demons in it that rebelled against God. Heaven is holy, so demons could no longer stay in it as they were now defined by sin and unholy. So God had to create a place to put the demons in, called hell. Satan was given the kingship of hell and rules all in there. Satan rules the demons that rebelled with him against God as well as the people these demons torment in hell.

Hell is only a temporary kingdom where demons are imprisoned until the final sentence is passed on them and they are flung into their final torment, The Lake of fire, where they will be confined and will no longer be free to roam creation and to attack the things of God’s Kingdom.

Satan still rules the world. It rightfully now belongs to Jesus as part of the spoils of war but He has not returned to claim it yet. Meanwhile, Jesus uses His People to be a steward of it on His behalf until He returns to rule it.

In a sense we are a third kingdom, because we have free will to choose what we desire to do. According to which king we choose to align our kingdom with will be determined our eternal future.

The kings and their opposing forces

Spiritual warriors

Angels of God

Evil angels of Satan (Demons)

People in the Battle

Citizens of The Kingdom of God

Followers of Satan
(future citizens of hell) and those who call them Christian but do not do what Jesus tells them to do.

People are the combatants on earth and the target of both kings.

There are no fence sitters in this battle. You either serve God or serve Satan. There are no fences to sit on as there is only one kingdom on earth, that of Satan and Christians are only travellers through it.

The purpose of the two kings

“Jer 29:11 I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.”

The purposes of God is to develop you to be the best you can be and through this to prepare you for heaven.

Jn 10:10 “But a thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have whatever is abundant.”

The purpose of God is to restore what He is able too, to what it was like in the Garden before man sinned. But He cannot restore hell as that now belongs to Satan and is defiled and unholy. All He can do to remove the influence of Satan and his demons is to destroy them and hell (which He does in the lake of fire).

“Matt 18: 11 For The Son of Man has come to save whatever has been lost.”

He desires to serve you in any way that will help you relate to Him and avoid hell. He even came to earth and died to help you in this.

Mark 10: 45.“For even The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve and give his life a ransom in the place of the many.”

His objective in coming to earth was to teach, preach and demonstrate the Kingdom of God so that you would know what God requires of you to get to heaven and avoid hell. He then died at Calvary to redeem us and make it possible for us to do what He told us to do.

It is how you relate to Jesus that will determine whether or not you end up in heaven or hell!

Jn 3:14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, thus The Son of Man is going to be lifted up,

15. So that every person who believes in him shall not be lost, but shall have eternal life.

16. For God loved the world in this way: so much that he would give up his Son, The Only One, so that everyone who trusts in him shall not be lost, but he shall have eternal life.

17 For God did not send his Son into the world that he would condemn the world, but that he would give life to the world by him.

18 Whoever believes in him is not judged, and whoever does not believe is judged already, because he does not believe in The Name of The Only Begotten Son of God.

19 This is the judgment: The Light has come into the world and the children of men loved the darkness more than The Light, because their works were evil.

20 For everyone who does what is hateful, hates The Light and does not come to The Light, lest his works should be convicted.

21 But he who does The Truth comes to The Light, so that his works may be revealed, that they are performed by God.”

Jesus did not come to condemn people. But to teach them what God wanted them to know about how we are to relate to Him and how we need to live if we want to go to heaven and avoid hell. But we must desire His truths if we want to live as He requires us to live if we want to go to heaven (Jn 8:32).

Satan’s purpose is to destroy your relationship with God while you are on earth so that you will be with him in hell forever until your are thrown into the lake of fire with him and the evil angels (demons/devils).

Satan is a thief stealing from God His things for his own purposes.

Jn 10:10 “But a thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy; …”

1 Pet 5:8. Be alert, be reflective, because your enemy Satan roars like a lion and is walking and seeking whom he may devour.

This is why our worldly environment reflects Satan’s values in the hope it will hide Jesus, His Kingdom and His purposes and requirements from us. This is why we need to reflect (think about) what is around us to separate the things of Satan’s from the things of God’s.

Evil does not come from God! He is Love and does only what is good for us. This is why we know Satan is real as he is the only one left to give us evil thoughts and desires.

The attitude of both kings to Salvation

God looks at our salvation relationship with Him and designs the circumstances of your life to help you draw closer to Him in this relationship.

Satan looks at your salvation relationship to God and tries to destroy or hinder it.

Satan’s attitude toward you

Satan is all hate. It is said he was jealous that God made people and that is the reason he rebelled. So when man was made, Satan’s full attention was given to destroying the people God created and the creation they were in which God loves so much.

Satan is described as a thief and Jesus as a life giver. This shows the difference between them. Satan comes to destroy mankind and all God has for them. Jesus comes to restore them to God, removing all that Satan did to them and give them all the good things God has prepared for them.

Satan is called a thief as he does his work secretly so mankind will not know it is happening. Just as a thief does things secretly, so Satan does them secretly.

He seeks to steal you from God and tries steal from you all the good that God has prepared for you now and in heaven.

He seeks to kill you spiritually so that when you die you will go to hell for him to rule and torment.

He seeks to destroy all God does through you as well as all God does anywhere else. God uses people and if Satan can stop them being used by God it hinders the work of God and His Kingdom on earth.

Jesus can rescue you from Satan’s attacks and plans if you desire Him too and prevent Satan from ever hurting you again.

So what has Satan actually done for mankind?

Through his attack on Adam and Eve in the garden, he caused mankind to lose everything God had prepared for them as well as their relationship with God. This meant that when they died they would go to hell and not be with God in heaven.

Jesus negated this damage for all who follow Him as Lord.

Satan seeks to destroy every person on earth and remove their peace and joy as well as to have them be his subjects in hell.

Jesus removes the damage Satan has done to a person and accepts them as a citizen of His Heavenly Kingdom if they follow Him as Lord. Jesus is only your Saviour if He is your Lord of everything in your life.

Jesus saves you from Satan and his workings, making it possible for you to be in heaven with Him. But you must wholeheartedly try and follow Him as your Lord.

Jesus does not look at how you succeeded in things but at how you followed Him.

You can see by The Character of the two kings that Satan is not the best king to follow and that in Jesus is found all the good that God has for you.

The character of the two kings are expressed as follows

Hate, lust, inconsiderateness, selfishness

Joylessness, sorrow, misery, depression

Fear, anxiety, worry

Impatience, rushing things

Abuse, roughness

Doing evil/wrong things

Unbelief, doubt

Pride, arrogance, control freak

Lack of-self-control, inconsiderateness, intemperance, legalism, perfectionism

The character of God seeks to build people up. The character of Satan seeks to destroy them.

Satan’s legal Rights.

In Spite of what Satan tells people, he has no rights of any kind on earth, legal or other unless you give him some over you.

The only rights he can have are those you or Jesus give him.

At Calvary, Satan was made a prisoner by Jesus and paraded before the entire spiritual world for them to see this. As a prisoner he no longer has any legal rights or authority outside of hell where Jesus has given him the right to rule.

His demons no longer have any rights on earth, or a right to visit earth. What Satan has been able to do on earth is a result of people accepting what he suggests to them to do as well as the Christian church ignoring the battle and letting Satan do what he desires to do.

Even when Satan convinces you to accept what he has suggested to you he still has no rights to you or anything else on earth. It is you who give him a right by voluntarily accepting what he suggests and by this becoming his follower until you repent of accepting what he offered.

When you reject his offer he has to leave when commanded to do so in the Name of Jesus (James 4:7).

Satan may be king of hell, but he is still a prisoner and has to do what Jesus, or those Jesus has delegated the authority too, command him to do when it is the Will of Jesus.

Heaven and hell

These are real places. People have been taken there by Jesus and have returned to tell us what Jesus showed them. If Satan takes you there you do not return unless Jesus allows it or does it.

The visions of hell are frightening and horrifying and when you see what demons do to people in hell, no sensible person in their right mind would want to go there and would do all they could not to go there. These visions are on the Internet. All you have to do is search for them.

Only correct interactions with the good king Jesus will help you resist what Satan offers and stop you going to hell. The Lordship of Jesus helps you in this which is why it is so important.

For those who believe these are hallucinations note that none of the people giving these accounts have mental illness or their testimony would not be on this web site.

There is also the fact that many people, who have never met or read what each other saw, all say the same thing. These cannot be hallucinations because of this but must have an underlying spirit behind these narrations. Of course this Spirit can only be The Holy Spirit.

The warning to lukewarm Christians

From Revelation Chapter 3

1.“And to The Messenger who is in the assembly of Sardis write: Thus says he who has The Seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works and the name that you have, and that you are alive and are dying.”

2.“Be vigilant and confirm what remains of those things

that are ready to die, for I have not found you such that your works are perfect before God.”

3.“Remember how you have heard and received; take heed and return. But if you do not wake up, I shall come upon you as a thief, and you will not know which hour I shall come upon you.”

4.“But I have a few names in Sardis, those who have not defiled their garments, and they walk before me in white and they are worthy.”

5.“He who overcomes in this way is garbed with a white garment, and I shall not blot out his name from The Book of Life, and I shall confess his name before my Father and before his Angels.”

They had salvation and eternal life because their name was written in The Lamb’s Book of Life. But they rejected Jesus as Lord and did not obey Him and knew they were doing it. So they were unrepentant and were in danger of losing their salvation.

What the Bible says about Hell

(Luke 16:19)

There was a rich man that dressed in purple and fine linen, who enjoyed luxurious living every day. In front of his gate a beggar named Lazarus was placed, covered with sores, and hungering to be fed crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

The beggar died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried, and while suffering tortures in Hades, he looked up and from a distance saw Abraham with Lazarus in his bosom. So he called out, "Father Abraham, take pity on me and send Lazarus to dip his finger tip in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this fire".

But Abraham said, "Son, remember that you enjoyed the good things in your lifetime while Lazarus had the bad things; now he is being comforted here but you are suffering anguish. Besides, there is a great chasm fixed between you and us, so that those who want to cross from here to you are unable; neither can they cross from your side to us.".

The Bible, the word of God, is very clear about the subject of heaven and hell. In this portion that we have just read, the Lord tells us about two places: Heaven and Hell. There is no intermediate place.

Visions of intermediate places such as Limbo and Purgatory cannot be proof because Satan can make these places exist and take you to them even though in reality they do not exist.

If you can imagine the foulest, ugliest, least peaceful, most dangerous, evil, most unpleasant place on earth, then you have caught a small glimpse of hell.

Does God send people to hell?

Jesus does not send people to hell. Those that go to hell choose what Satan offers and reject what Jesus offers or requires of them. They may say they follow Jesus but do not do what He requires of them.

It is to be remembered that the torments of hell are devised by Satan and not by Jesus.

Jesus has given rulership of hell to Satan. So Jesus will not do anything against Satan’s rule of hell. This is why He says to people in hell. “I cannot help you”.

God gives everyone all they need to choose between Him and Satan. Not to do this would mean He is not a God of Love and not impartial.

Those who know of Jesus and His requirements are judged on how much they know of them.

Those who do not know of Jesus or understand His requirements will be judged on what they did with what The Holy Spirit told them in their conscience God wanted them to do.

No one has any excuse for being in hell. They are there because of choices they made that were against what God required them to do to get to heaven.

For those who believe the torments of hell are not forever

Matt 18:8 “But if your hand or your foot subverts you, cut it off and cast it from you, for it is better for you that you enter life as lame or as maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, that you would fall into eternal fire.”

Jesus plainly says that all in hell will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity. Argue with Jesus.

For those who believe you can still be saved in hell

Jesus has taken people to hell and has been heard telling the people in hell he cannot help them. They chose Satan’s lifestyle and he is now their ruler and is the only person who can release them from hell. Jesus has given rulership of hell to Satan and for Jesus to take people from hell without Satan’s permission would make Jesus as evil as Satan.

Satan also has no means of redeeming them so that they become undefiled and can enter a holy heaven. Besides, Satan seeks to put his evil pleasure on them through his torments and has no plans to release any of them. Even if he desired too!

Jesus also said it was impossible to pass from hell to heaven.

Luke 16;26.‘And along with all these things, there stands a great abyss between us and you, so that those who would pass from here to you are not able, neither is whoever is there able to pass over to us.’

Satan’s fall

Satan rebelled against God in heaven and because of this rebellion could not stay in heaven but was cast down to earth. It is believed he fell after the sixth day of creation began because at the beginning of the sixth day everything was perfect.

When Satan left God he lost all love and compassion and now only knows hatred, maliciousness and mercilessness.

Some believe he did not like God’s creation of man which is why he went and deceived Adam and Eve to sin. Ever since then he has spent his whole energy in destroying what God has done and taking as many of mankind to hell with him as he can.

Hell is an expression of the character of Satan and his demons which is why you do not want to be involved with them while you are on earth.

His training of the church

At various councils of Satan ideas were discussed on how to remove the threat to Demons by those who knew their authority over Demons. Some suggestions were:

Guide the teaching of theology so that its teachings would become compromised and would cause no problems to Satan and his demons. An example is the casting of doubt on the ending of Mark 16 being in the original writing of Mark and which is the only place we have been delegated authority over Satan. By this Satan causes doubt on our ability to overcome him through the delegated authority of Jesus which is the only real weapon we have against Satan.

Cause Bibles to become corrupted with error that was not obvious, so that truths became compromised, blurred or hidden and the truths of The Bible could not be easily used against Satan and his demons. This has occurred through the texts used to create modern translations even though the two main texts used have been proven to be forgeries.

Cause denominations and churches to exist, so that The Body of Christ was divided and The kingdom of God hidden. This meant that the work of God would not be done because the denomination or church became the focus of their activities and not The Kingdom of God.

Hide the role and anointing of The Holy Spirit so that people would not be led by Him to do the work of God. Only what man thought was God’s Will would be done.

Hide God’s Love so that people would not appreciate it as well as what God has done for them as a result of it so that they would not desire to serve God out of love but joylessly as their duty.

Make Demons and hell irrelevant to Christians so that no one would bother about them. A consequence of this would be Christians would not bother to tell others or preach about hell or fight Satan and his Demons.

Make Christians believe Demons cannot attack them once they follow Jesus as Lord. They then would not fight Demons believing it was not necessary and would give natural causes and a person's emotions or reason as the basis for conflict and disease.  Man’s methods would be used to heal diseases and not God’s.

People casting out Demons from Christians were to be ridiculed by those believing Christians could not have Demons and would be considered mentally ill or not rational if they continued in this ministry.

To those believing in this deliverance, it would be made to appear difficult and dangerous, being practiced by only a few very spiritual people after years of training and study and at times needing an official licence or qualification from a denomination or church to practice it.

It was agreed to follow these ideas which they have successfully implemented in the Christian churches today.

Hell is where Satan, the most evil, sadistic king, who hates humankind and whom he seeks to destroy and torment them, has his kingdom.

Satan tries to cause as much pain, sorrow and fear as people are able to endure, then adds more of these to torment them even more.

It is not a good place to go to when you die.

Where is Hell?

The latest evidence is that it is where The Bible says it is – under the earth.

From a deep well hole (where the screams of a multitude was heard and a demon came out of) and from what people have seen hell appears to be in the earth.

You will only really know when you either get there or see it from heaven but it is described as the pit of hell so must be in or near the earth’s surface.

The Christian life is a life of choices for or against the requirements of God. You alone make these choices and you will have no one else to blame for not choosing to obey God.

It is up to you to study the Bible to see what God requires of you just as it is up to you to decide whether or not to do it.

This earth is used by God as a training ground for heaven and a place to sort out those that will serve him from those that will not. This is the place where you will prepare for eternity and it is up to you how you prepare for this as well as the rewards you will have in eternity.

Those that obey God will go to heaven. Those that obey Satan or are indifferent to the requirements of God will go to hell.

Death is not a restarting of things but a transition to another place where you continue to serve, develop and mature as a citizen of The Kingdom of God or suffer the torments of hell. It is like stepping through a door from one room to the other and the other room is heaven or hell.

The choice of doors is yours and no one else’s.

God’s perspective is the important one

You must always look at things in the way God looks at things so that you will apply His values and requirements and not be influenced by Satan’s way of thinking which is expressed in the world system and values which are around you all of which are a result of Satan’s attempts to take you away from Jesus.

If you do not know how God’s principles and values apply to a situation, then ask The Holy Spirit. He has been sent by God to guide you in all the things you are to do with God as well as to teach you what you need to know to be able to do them (Job 32:8, Jn 16:13, Jn 7:17)

Heb 1s: 14. Run after peace with every man, and after holiness, without which no one shall see Our Lord.

Holiness and The Kingdom

God and His Kingdom are pure and undefiled and so we have the following command:

1 Pet 1:16.Because it is written: “Be holy, for I am holy.”

Holiness must be our response to Salvation and should be a res ult of sanctification. It is separation from all aspects of the enemy kingdom and the embracing of all matters relating to The Kingdom of God and our King, Jesus. It is an attitude of being wholly (holy) for Jesus and His Kingdom through separating yourself from all that is not of God or His Kingdom.

1 Cor 1:30. But you also are from him in Jesus The Messiah, he who has become for us the wisdom of God and the righteousness and the holiness and the redemption,

All are redeemed – Jesus died for all the Bible says (Heb 10:10). But only those who voluntarily call Him Lord and obey Him are saved. They are in a righteous (correct) relationship through accepting what Jesus offers them and are doing what He requires of them. As a result of this relationship He sanctifies them (sets them apart for His purposes).

These ‘sanctified’ people then pursue Holiness, setting themselves apart for Jesus and His purposes as a loving response to what He has done for them.

It is for the sake of this holiness and the work God desires to do in them that people work at the salvation they now have through their faithful obedience to Jesus. They do not work to obtain salvation but to preserve it, maintaining it through obedience to their King (Rev 3:5).

Holiness is a response of gratitude for, appreciation of and thankfulness to God’s without which (holiness) we cannot approach or serve God.

One of the definitions of Holiness is as follows:

“Hallowed; consecrated or set apart to a sacred use, or to the service or worship of God; a sense frequent in Scripture; as the holy Sabbath; holy oil; holy vessels; a holy nation; the holy temple; a holy priesthood.”

There are only two kingdoms. No man-made structures or organizations exist in the spiritual realm on earth. Denominations, associations, home churches, etc., do not exist in the spiritual realm. Only the Body of Christian believers does. You belong to one kingdom or the other. The kingdom to which you separate yourself is the one whose purposes and objectives you accept and serve. It is the one to which you are “holy” too and whose purposes and values you will pursue. You cannot be in both kingdoms at the same time – there are no fence sitters in the spiritual realm.

Jesus said in Matthew 6: 24: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (Mammon is a demon of wealth).

The word means ‘riches’. So you cannot serve God and your desire for riches trusting in them instead of God.

Holiness and Protection

When we belong to The Kingdom of God, living completely as a citizen of The Kingdom should, we are in a state of holiness and worship. Satan can find nothing in us to accuse us of sin and has no right to attack us. This Lordship attitude is our protection in ministry which is why holiness and worship through our life are such a part of being a citizen of God’s Kingdom. It is this relational position to Jesus and The Father that protects us.

As we develop greater intimacy with God our pursuit of holiness intensifies and helps us to desire what is necessary to develop our relationship with God further resulting in a greater dedication (holiness) too and security in God. This will also mean that trials will increase as they need too to continue to mature and develop us.

Without holiness we cannot see God.

We are told to pursue holiness which means seeking the Will of Jesus and obeying him as well as seeking increased intimacy with Him. Before you desire to the things of a person you must first desire the person.

To do this you need to focus on Jesus in all you do as He expresses the Will of The Father and guides us through the Holy Spirit.

If you are a citizen you should automatically seek the will of the King and the furtherance of His Kingdom as it is best for you and your King

Without holiness we are not protected from the rulership of Satan. Holiness is an act of Lordship and if Jesus is not Lord of any area of our life it is no longer holy to Him and we are vulnerable to Satan in that area. He will attack us in that area. But if Jesus is Lord and we are holy to Him in that area then there is nothing in us of Satan’s kingdom for him to use to attack us. He has to suggest to us that there is and hope we accept the suggestion so Satan has something in us to use.

In other words he tries to deceive us to accept his lies so we will sin and be vulnerable to his attacks.

The attitude of holiness helps remove the things Satan seeks to use to attack us because of the requirements to be holy making the removal of these things necessary to stay holy so that there is nothing there for Satan to use to attack us.

Without holiness we cannot really serve Jesus as we should. It is because we love Him and Who He is (Lord of all) that we worship Him, of which holiness is a part. The problem is not just to try and serve Him but to serve Him as He desires us too. The attitude of holiness helps us in doing this.

Worship is a result of our lifestyle objective of seeking to obey and serving Jesus because of our love for him. It is a lifestyle that brings constant praise to Jesus by our attitudes and actions.

Holiness in Summary

Unless you seek Jesus and His Kingdom how can The Holy Spirit reveal its secrets to you?

Unless you seek to deepen the relationship you have with Jesus and The Father how can God mature you into His Character?

Unless you seek God’s Plans and purposes how can He trust you to serve Him and Minister on his behalf

Unless you truly seek God how can you be holy.

If your home truly is in heaven you will focus on its King (Jesus) and His purposes setting yourself aside for The King and His Will. You will reject all that the enemy offers in this world.

This is called the pursuit of holiness.

The concept behind holiness is that of being separated for a spiritual purpose. In this case the purpose is the service of God (and the worship that results from this).

Holiness is a voluntary choice and is not forced on you by God and is strengthened as you develop greater intimacy with God.

Holiness is an attitude of a person that desires God’s Purposes and Plans above their own because they realize that these are better for them than anything they can think of themselves. This desire is an act of worship.

We are told to be holy (separate ourselves from the manners, desires, plans values and purposes of Satan’s world system) not because it a legalistic requirement but because we cannot serve God as we should while the attitudes of Satan’s world system are within us or being followed by us.

You cannot pursue the things of God or Satan at the same time.

There is a simple principle. Whose rules you follow dictates where you end up in eternity. If you follow the way of holiness you end up in heaven. If you follow the way of Satan, ungodliness/unholiness, you end up in hell. This is why God says to be holy as He is Holy. It is for our sakes and not His.

Holiness is an integral part of the Christian walk. Develop it if you would be used by Jesus and also be with Jesus after you die.

In summary:  How does holiness fit into the scheme of things?

Jesus died for all so the price of our redemption has been paid. We need to accept what He has done and voluntarily follow Him as our Lord (King) to assimilate this redemption. He becomes our redeemer, declares we are righteous (in a proper relationship with Him) then sanctifies us (sets us apart for His purposes). Our response is holiness, setting asides our things to do His purposes. As we do this it also becomes an act of worship of Him so that our life becomes a continual act of worship.

Worship by life.

As you seek to be holy in all you do your attitude will be one of unwavering obedience to the Lordship of Jesus. This is an act of worship because through this attitude you are declaring He is worthy to be desired and obeyed.

You will fail at times because you are not perfect. But all requires is repentance and for you to keep on trying. Wholeheartedly trying and failing is acceptable. Not trying is not acceptable and you will end up in hell.

Accordingly, a life of holiness is a life of continual worship through our wholehearted, loving obedience to Jesus and a result of this is a life that brings continual Glory to God by demonstrating He is to be praised and worshiped because of who He is and because of the works He does and has done and will do!

Attitudes to have in the battle

It is important to show God’s quality of love in all you do. If you love in the way He does and do all as a result of this quality of love you will always do what He requires of you (Jn 13:34-35)

You must submit yourself completely to the Will of Jesus (Rom 12:1-2). If you believe God is Love you will do this as it will be best for you. Trust His Love, as whatever He allows to happen to you will always be for your best (Rom 8:28).

Seek Jesus and His things in all you do (Col 3:1-2). Your objective should be to seek God’s Will in all you do and develop the relationship you have with each member of The Trinity (Matt 6:32-34, Jn 17:3).

You must work at your side of the relationship you have with God and seek to maintain the obedience this requires (Phil 2: 14-15).

Your thoughts must always be pure and wholesome (Phil 4:8, Matt 12:36).

You must always be guided by the Holy Spirit in all you do (Rom 8:14, Jn 16:13).

You must serve Jesus as He desires you too, encouraging others to do what He requires of them (Heb 10:24-25) doing His work (Jn 4;34).

You must believe God rewards His followers that all you did for God on earth was worth doing. You must believe it will be all worthwhile and that all the rewards you have in heaven will be worth all you suffered on earth (Heb 11:6.)

You must endure to the end and finish the work God has for you on earth (1 Cor 15:58, Matt 24:13).

You must realize that when you affect another Christians, you really affect Jesus and His Kingdom (Matt 25:40).

The attitudes expanded.

The basic altitude is unswerving, loving, obedience to Jesus. Jesus must be ruler of all you do. He does not ask you to obey Him out of fear of going to hell but out of love, thanksgiving and appreciation for what He has done for you. But you must admit the thought of going to hell is one of God’s best incentive programs.

In John 14:15 He specifically stated:

“If you love me, keep my commandments.”

Love is the basis of all Christian obedience and “Love for Jesus” is the basic attitude for the expression of all other attitudes of the Christian life.

We are also told:

(Rom 13:10) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

In other words, it meets all God’s requirements of obedience.

God’s type of Love is the expression of The Spirit of God’s presence in you and is expressed as: joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (Gal 5:22-23). It is through these expressions of God’s type of Love to others that God shows His character through you.

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Because of what Jesus has done for us, we should submit our self to Him.

Jesus redeemed us and paid the price God required to remove from us all the spiritual punishment and defilement for our sins that would have resulted in our going to hell. In other words, He delivered us from going to hell and removed the requirement to sacrifice to God for our sins. He also removed the defilement of sin that prevented us entering The Kingdom of God and approaching God personally,

Because of this, we are always able to be in a proper relationship with God so that The Holy Spirit’s presence can be in us so we can always approach God, be continually in His presence and hear Him continually.

Our primary reason for submission to Jesus is the love, thankfulness and appreciation we have toward Jesus for what Jesus did for us at Calvary as well as what He is doing for us now on earth and will do for us in heaven.

We are told also to focus on the things of Jesus and to reject all that Satan offers us through the world system he controls and which is designed to blind you too Jesus, His requirements and His Kingdom and to distract you from these and guide you away from the things of Jesus.

This is why we need to test the spirit behind the thoughts we have as they can come from God or Satan.

We need to change our attitudes and thoughts so they are changed from the ways we used to think (based on what we saw in the world around us) to that with Jesus desires us to focus on.

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

We are to focus on the Will of Jesus for us. It is He who is our ruler, who, through Calvary, freed us from the punishment of sin and the bondage Satan had over us. So if we are His follower we will focus on His requirements of us.

Your mind should be occupied solely with His teachings and His will for you. This is a main purpose of meditation so that we focus on these things away from the distractions of the world and can deal with them more clearly.

To focus on the things the world (controlled by Saturn) offers you, is to take your eyes off what Jesus requires of you. So that you may end up disobeying Him in an area or no longer be a follower of Him.

This attitude of Lordship is the best protection you have against the attacks of Satan.

You no longer should be in control of your life as you have offered it to Jesus to be Lord of. So, that now, you future hope and plans are tied up with the Will of Jesus for you.

Matt 6:31. Therefore do not be concerned or say, ‘’What will we eat?’ , or ‘’What will we drink?’ , or,‘ ’What will we wear’?

32. For the Gentiles are seeking all these things, but your Father who is in Heaven knows that all these things are necessary for you.

33. But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34.Therefore you shall not be concerned about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be concerned for itself. A day’s own trouble is sufficient for it.

You should always be seeking the will of God and to improve the relationship you have with him. You should not be concerned about your needs as God promises to provide all you need if you focus on His Will and developing the relationship you have with Him. In fact v34 is almost a command not be concerned about the future, which you will not be, if you trust completely God’s plan, preparation and provision for your life.

Satan uses his world system to try and distract us from God’s Love and provision, so you will worry and be anxious. If you believe in God and His Love for you Satan cannot get you to do this. You will trust God for our needs and not worry about them or be anxious about anything.

Only in this attitude of complete trust in God’s Love, Control, Purposes and Plans for you is their true peace and contentment. This is a result of having no anxiety or worry because you know God is in control and whatever happens is for your best.

If Satan can get you to not trust God’s Love toward you, he can torment you. You must trust God completely, or He is not your Lord!

Php 4:6 In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7. And cast all your cares on God, for He takes care of you.

We are told to give our fears, worries and anxieties to Jesus to be Lord of as He will deal with them and help you work through them.

If you trust Jesus and His Love, you will ask him to help you. After all, that is what friends are for and Jesus is the best friend you will ever have.

When you wholeheartedly follow Jesus as your Lord, The Father in Heaven adopts you as His son and then you are not just a friend to Jesus, but He is now your brother through your adoption by The Father.

This is why you need to learn to spend time with Jesus and The Father. After all, who does not want to spend time with their beloved father and brother?

Rom 8:28. But we know that he helps those who love God in everything for good, those whom he preordained to be called.

Phil 2:12. Therefore beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not when I am near to you only, but now when I am far from you, all the more, with awe and with trembling, do the service of your life.

13. For God is carefully working in you both to desire and to do that thing which you desire.

If you love Jesus, you will spend your time developing your side of the relationship. You will take whatever steps are needed to do this.

You will learn whatever you need to learn. You will do whatever you need to do. You will spend with Him whatever time is necessary to do this. You will also pay whatever cost is necessary to maintain your salvation.

You will always trust that God is always working for your best so that you will never complain about what He is allowing to happen to you. You will trust His Love for you in whatever circumstances He allows to happen to you. He is Control of all your circumstances and Satan can do nothing to hinder Jesus in this.

Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Jn 16:13.”But whenever The Spirit of The Truth comes, he will lead you into the whole truth, for he will not speak of his own will, but he shall speak whatever he shall hear and he shall reveal the future to you.”

Rom 8: 14. For those who are led by The Spirit of God, these are the sons of God

The Holy Spirit if your guide and is the person God has sent to help you in your Christian life. You will need to be able to hear his guidance and teaching as well as to trust this guidance and teaching. He also loves you and does all that is for your best.

Remember that the promise is to guide you into all truth and not just spiritual truth so that when you have a problem of any kind. You can always ask His help to solve it.

Phil 4: 8. Therefore, my brethren, those things that are true, those that are honorable, those

you will be justified and by your words that are righteous, those things that are pure, those things that are precious, those things that are praiseworthy, deeds of glory and of praise, meditate on these things.

Matt 12: 36.For I say to you that every idle word that people will speak, they will give an answer for it in the day of judgment.

37.For by your words you will be condemned.”

Every wrong word you say you will need to explain to Jesus why you said it. This is the verse that scares me the most in The New Testament, apart from those on hell.

If you are led by the Holy Spirit, your focus will only be on good things that come from God and not on the things of Satan. You will also express the good in these through your life to others.

If you love Jesus, you will only say and do things that promote the King and His Kingdom accepting only thoughts that do this and rejecting all of Satan that would hinder this in your life:

Heb 10:24 (LITV) And let us consider one another, to incitement of love and of good works,

Heb 10:25 not forsaking the assembling together of ourselves, as is the custom of some, but exhorting, and by so much more as you see the Day drawing near.

You will also think of how Jesus desires you to serve others. We serve Jesus our King, and He tells us whom He wants us to serve as well as how He desires us when and how to serve them.

Mat 25: 40 And The King answers and says to them, ‘Amen, I say to you, as much as you have done to one of these my little brothers, you have done that to me.’

This is why Jesus says that whatever we do to others we do to Him. It is Him we obey and show His quality of Love as we serve others. So how we express His type of Love to others is how we affect the demonstration of His quality of Love to them. He is their King. And what we do to the subjects of a king we do to the king.

Heb 11: 6. But without faith, no one can please God, for who ever is brought near to God must believe that he exists and that he is the rewarder of those who seek him.

As we serve God, out of Love for Him and those we serve, He has rewards for us. He asks us to believe He will reward us through doing all He said He would do for those who followed Him.

Saran’s objective is to stop us obtaining these rewards so he always tries to raise problems in whatever we do to serve God and those God sends us to serve.

Faith must trust God and part of this trust is in Him protecting us and rewarding us for service we do to him. Even though He, as a King, does not need to reward us for the things He commands us to do.

Matt 24: 13 But whoever will persevere until the end will have life.

1 Cor 15: 58. From now on, my brethren and beloved, be steadfast; do not be shaken, but be abounding at all times in the work of THE LORD JEHOVAH, as you know that your toil has not been worthless in THE LORD JEHOVAH.

He requires us to finish all He asks as too do and to endure all Satan does to us. By this we will show our love for Jesus and that He is our Lord.

Develop the habit of being led in all things by The Holy Spirit

If you are led by The Holy Spirit, you will never argue, reason, react or assume anything to do about God and His Will for you or others. These are habits Satan desires you to have as he tries to train you to react first rather than ask God what to do. This is so he can control your response to things and use your response for his purposes.

Satan tries to build up attitudes and habits in you so that you will automatically react and think the way he wants you too in a situation.

This is why you always ask The Holy Spirit what to do so that you know what God desires you to do in that situation.

Get into the habit of asking The Holy Spirit about situations and problems and listening to His advice before you comment on anything.  He promises to guide you into all truth and not just spiritual truth. Learn to listen as you do your daily chores and activities and He will speak to you about things you need to know or do. Always walk around with one ear listening to The Holy Spirit and seek to be always in a right relationship with Jesus so you do not block hearing The Holy Spirit.

There is a warning about hearing The Holy Spirit. If you desire something excessively, Satan can give you an answer. Because you desire it so much, you will not hear God’s Spirit and you will have peace when you should not have it. To avoid this, you must not desire something so much that it becomes an idol as then Satan can mislead you concerning it.

So what are we to do for Jesus?

We are the representatives of Jesus and His Kingdom and are to proclaim, teach and demonstrate His Kingdom and its Character on earth to all who do not follow Him or know Him personally.

Jesus said (summarizing His last statements before He rose into heaven).

All power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,

Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in My name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they:

Cast out devils;

They shall speak with new tongues;

They shall take up serpents;

And if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;

They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover

and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”

As you can see, Jesus desires us to tell others about His Love for them, what He has done for them, as well as what He can and will for them as well as teach them how to receive these things and obey Jesus in the doing of His Will. He also desires us to demonstrate that His Kingdom has come to earth by its authority over Satan, his things and the natural world.

If you Love Jesus and believe in who He is you will do this for Him.

Nowhere in The Bible (the only place that can say these are no longer necessary), is there a statement saying we no longer have to do any of them.

Do not be concerned if you do not know how to do these things. The Holy Spirit promises to teach you all you need to know to do this and will bring people and information to you to help you to learn about doing this in the way Jesus desires you to do it. But you must desire to do these things.

If you are able to do this but do not bother too when Jesus asks you to do it, then you risk going to hell, unless you repent and do it. If you do not do it you have rejected Jesus by rejecting what He has asked you to do.

If you deny Him or knowledge of Him in any way, you have also rejected Him. Unless you repent and tell others about Him when The Holy Spirit tells you too, you will lose your Salvation (Rev 3.5). He will reject you before the Judgment Throne of The Father (Matt 10:33) so that you cannot go to heaven. The only other place you can go to is hell.

There are many people in hell who rejected what Jesus desired of them to do, yet still called themselves Christians (implying they were His followers).

My concern is that The Bibl says to do these things and that by not doing them be that people could  be quenching The Holy Spirit so cannot go to heaven. He will prompt you to do these things as they are commanded by Jesus so by ignoring The Holy Spirit they could be quenching Him.

How you deal with these attitudes is up to you. You have free will and it is your choice what you do with it. So you will have no one else to blame if you disobey God and end up in hell.

The race is not to the swiftest, or to the smartest or the most intelligent. It is to those who humbly obey and endure to the end in all Jesus asks them to endure.

Your race is individually tailored for you (Eph 2;10) and you will be judged on how you ran the race Jesus asked you to run and not someone else’s race.

If you love people as The Father loves them. You will always have before you their eternal destiny and good. And you will have one ear on the Holy Spirit to see what God wants you to do or say to them (if anything).

You do not Minister to all but only those God asks you to Minister too. And then you only say or do what he desires you to say or do for them.

This is why you must always be led by The Holy Spirit. So that you will always be ready to do or say what God desires you to do or say and minister only to those you are suppose too.

God created everything and owns everything so that all we an ever be are stewards of what we have and no actually owners of them.   This is why Satan makes possessions so important so that we will not ask Jesus what to do with them but believe we have control of them so God cannot use them as He desires to use them.

The Christian life is a life of stewardship. What God has given you to be steward of you must protect from Satan. The best way to do this is too:

Firstly make sure that Jesus is Lord of every aspect of your life including that which He has given you to be steward of which you are to use only for the purposes of His Kingdom.

Secondly to attack every Demon that is attacking you, regardless of the area they are attacking.

This means you need to:

Know what God has made you steward of before you can defend it.

Know what you need to do to defend the things God has made you steward of.

To not to defend what you are steward of is disobedience to God. If you do not defend it Satan can damage it, destroy it or take it from you.

Remember! Satan’s purpose is to destroy what you are steward of so, of which stewardship of your Christian life is one aspect. So that it cannot be used by The Kingdom of God.

God allows trials for three purposes:

To show Satan we are worthy of the ministry God has called us too. This is when Satan is allowed to test us, usually in a way that tests us too out limits maturing us and preparing us for a ministry.

To mature us to a greater level so God can use us more

To draw us back to the path we were on prepared by God from before creation but have now diverted off. Repentance is necessary for this to occur.

Only as we correctly endure and fulfil the test God is putting us through will we be matured and prepared the way He needs us to be for the ministry He is preparing us for. When we pass the trials that do this for us, Jesus will declare before Satan that we are worthy of what He is to give to us to do and Satan will not be able to complain about our delegated ministry authority.

Trials are a sign of His Love for us so that we should never complain about the trials we are going through. To do so is to doubt His Love.

Preparation for heaven

Life is not just service to God. Through this service and the trials associated with them, God prepares us for life in heaven with Him. We need to develop on earth the attitudes we will have in heaven as part of the preparation for living in heaven.

In heaven you no longer need to demonstrate the authority of The Kingdom of God over Satan and his works. What is left is how you demonstrated the love of God to others.

So on earth, the primary lesson is on how to demonstrate God’s type of love to God and others. The authority of The Kingdom being just one of the ways you demonstrate God’s type of Love in you as you minister to others.

This demonstration of Love is the main difference between the two kings.  Satan never demonstrated Love, only selfishness and control.

How do they live in heaven?

All is driven by love for Jesus and each other and each serve each other in love, speaking no harsh or rejecting words and finding nothing too trivial or humbling for the purposes of serving another.

There is respect for each other and there is no race or social hierarchical structure (Gal 3:28). All are equal in ministry, whether male or female. No one is in control of another but mentor them and serve them in the way Jesus asks them to serve the other.

All are guided by The Holy Spirit in all they do. It is a little like an ant colony where all serve with one mind in a coordinated fashion.

This is our pattern for ministry upon earth and relating in the way God desires us to relate to each other.

God owns everything in heaven so there is no ownership of things or a striving to own things. All are stewards of all that is in heaven as well as what God gives them specifically to be stewards of.

We need to serve here as they do in heaven if we are to prepare here for our eternal life in heaven.

Satan does all he can to stop us developing God’s type of Love in our life so that whatever hinders  the expression of God’s Love has to come from Satan.

God loves you as you are

God is a God of Love. If He did not love you as you are He would be a hypocrite. This is why when criticized by a person check to see if they are correct and make any changes necessary or if they are wrong ignore them. God is your judge not them.

God Loves you as you are but Satan tries to make you believe God cannot Love you as you are to stop you feeling adequate for God to use.

God knows your potential and seeks to develop you so that you will reach it and be the Citizen of the Kingdom that you are able to be.

It is ironic that, when in a trial, God seems so far away and uninvolved. But He is honing and pruning you and using the circumstances to make you a better and more useful citizen of His Kingdom, removing from you that which is in you that does not belong to His Kingdom.

The Christian life is really God helping you to reach your full potential as a citizen of the Kingdom, to prepare you even better for life in eternity with Him.

The mark of a Christian is that in everything they do, they demonstrate God’s type of Love.

Your life objective should be to know the Will of The King, Jesus, and to carry it out in His quality of Love.

This will result in the maintenance of your salvation relationship with Jesus and The Father.

When you look at the visions of hell people have seen you see Jesus point out many in hell who called themselves Christians, but who did not do what Jesus required of them.

To be a follower of a person you must practice what they teach as well as do what they require of you.

Unless you are wholeheartedly doing what God requires of you or at least wholeheartedly trying to do what Jesus requires of you, then you are not following Jesus and will suffer the fate of all those that do not follow Jesus.

The role of the Body of Christ
(The army of God on earth).

The body of Christ is not the same as a denomination, church or similar. People in denominations and churches do not necessarily belong to The Body of Christ. Only citizens of The Kingdom of God belong to The Body of Christ so that The Body exists in on earth in the citizens of The Kingdom of God and cannot be contained by a denomination, church or similar.

On earth, The Body is Christ’s army is to:

Attack Satan and his Demons,

Destroy the plans of Satan,

Destroy his infrastructure (Satan has his own ‘body’ on earth to counter God’s people),

Destroy his kingdom through people being transferred from that to The Kingdom of God,

Demonstrate the authority of Jesus over Satan and his works

To demonstrate the lifestyle of The Kingdom.

Help each other with their problems

Nurture each other to a greater spiritual maturity

Show God’s Glory in all they do. After all, it only occurs because He has prepared it and empowered them to do it.

If you are not doing any of these them, perhaps you may not belong to The Kingdom and The Body and need to find out why, as only those in The Body go to heaven.

As long as you are wholeheartedly trying to live for Jesus as He requires you to or wholeheartedly learning how too, you are doing all Jesus requires of you to get to heaven and be a part of His Body.

How effective have denominations and churches been in this battle?

If denominational members were examined by their results, most would have difficulty in being categorized as being a follower of Christ and a Christian.

Jesus said its citizens would do certain things:

They would cast out demons

They would speak with languages they did not know and others would understand what they were saying (like Peter did just after The Holy Spirit fell at Pentecost).

They would heal the sick

They would teach others about what Jesus had done for them and do the work of The Kingdom. They would train those that came to them, either as new Christians or Christians desiring to help them mature in Jesus

People doing these things are followers of Jesus. People learning these things to prepare for doing them are also followers of Jesus

You are only required to do what you know of these activities when asked by Jesus or to try and to learn about them so you can do them in the way He requires you to do them.

If God requires you to do something and you do not know how to do it He expects you to learn how to do it and will provide what you need to do this or He would not be a God of Love.

God is Love and unless you Love Him and others as He Loves you then doing these things will be a burden and not a task of Joy and of love for Jesus and the person He asked you to minister too on His behalf.

It is the demonstration of The Authority of The Kingdom of God that demonstrates the reality of Satan and his kingdom.  So any church not demonstrating the Authority of Jesus and His Kingdom will be irrelevant in the war against Satan and for the purposes of showing Satan exists or that The Kingdom exists.

In many ways it can be seen that the church has lost the battle when it stopped demonstrating the authority of The Kingdom and stopped talking about it. This demonstration of The Kingdom is an integral part of what Jesus told the Church to do and many do not do it which is one reason the passage commanding these things is removed from modern bibles. It is easier not to have this passage in The Bible when you do not believe in it.

Keeping your freedom

Psa 119:9-11 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Joh 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of him- self; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Joh 7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Joh 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

It is one thing to be free and another to keep your freedom. This chapter is designed to help you with guidelines to do this

The way to stay sinless is to obey God, which means He must be your ruler (Lord). It also means you must study what He requires of you for Him to be your Lord. If you desire to wholeheartedly obey Him The Holy Spirit will guide you teach you and help you in this objective.

You also need to be able to know when Satan is attacking and how to repel an attack of his.

The Five Facets of The Christian life

There are five facets to walking as God desires you too in your role as a Citizen of The Kingdom of God and a member of His Body.

You must make Jesus Lord of all you do out of Love and desire to obey Him

You must learn the truths He requires you to learn by wholeheartedly studying His Bible and listening to the instruction of The Holy Spirit.

You must learn how Satan attacks and how to repel his attacks as well as how to destroy any of his works you come across.

You must learn how to be led by The Holy Spirit in all you do and learn to walk with one ‘spiritual ear’ on Him always.

You must never doubt God’s Love, Purposes, Plans and promises to you as Satan tries to remove you from God by having you doubt these.

God is Love and whatever He does for you is for your eternal best which is more important than your needs on earth.

Now to comment on the first two of the above five points.

Keeping Jesus as Lord of all you do

Jesus is your King and your objective is to do what your King requires of you, if you are to stay a citizen of His Kingdom. He tells you through The Holy Spirit’s presence in you what He desires you to do for Him on earth, how to do it, as well as where and when to do it. Only as you obey Jesus will you keep your eternal life and remain a citizen of His Kingdom.

The pursuit of holiness maintains the attitudes necessary to promote and maintain Lordship in your life as this rejects all that Satan would offer you.

There is the warning in Rev 3:5 of those who are lazy in doing His will. They will lose their salvation. (Be blotted out of The Lamb’s Book of Life).

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Ask The Holy spirit to guide you, teach you and strengthen you as you strive to be a good Citizen of The Kingdom of God (Job 32:8, Jn 16:13) and pursue the holiness necessary to do this.

This means you need to learn how to hear Him and know when it is Him speaking.

Studying The Bible so you know what Jesus requires of you

It is your responsibility to read, study, memorise and meditate on The Bible and not anyone else’s responsibility. It is only as you do these daily activities and apply them to your life, will God’s Word become a part of you and change you from the inside out. You also need to check The Bible to see if what others say is correct. There are many who do not fully believe it in positions of responsibility in The Christian faith and you need to be certain that what they tell you is really true.

(Act 17:11) These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

In regard to trusting God, His Plans, Purposes, Control and Love: If Satan can get you to doubt any of these then he is on the path to winning the battle for your soul in that area. And as long as he can get you to doubt God’s Love, the easier for him to make you subject to his control of your mind.

It is difficult to use a modern Bible when learning these things as they leave out things the early church believed and add things they did not believe so that, at times, what they preach is error and sometimes heresy.

Defeating Satan

Satan must have you accept what he suggests for you to sin so that the easiest way to defeat him is not to accept the incorrect thought, attitude, feeling or emotion he places on you. This means you must know what God says is wrong and be sensitive to The Holy Spirit when He is trying to tell you it is wrong by giving you a lack of peace over the thought, suggestion, emotion or feeling.

So when you have a thought, feeling, emption or sensation you know is wrong then:

Tell it to go in Jesus’ Name to the Lord Jesus to be dealt with

Repent of anything you need too

Ask The Holy Spirit to take its place.

The easiest way to stop temptation is to reject it when it starts and by removing the demon behind it you stop them from continuously tormenting you in that area. So any future temptations are from a different demon that you need to also remove.

I discuss this more in my small book on spiritual warfare.

To get to heaven or hell.

To get to hell, you do what Satan suggests and deliberately ignore what Jesus desires you to do by ignoring the fact that Jesus and not Satan is the one who decides your eternal fate.

To get to heaven you do what God says to do and ignore what Satan suggests you do.

You cannot wholeheartedly follow both kings at the same time. You will compromise your belief system if you follow one king and bits from the opposing king.

Jesus said that it is either one or the other; The King whom you choose to follow will determine your eternal fate. The one you are following when you die is the one to whose kingdom you will go too.

So to follow Christianity in a casual way may mean you are really following what  Sat an has suggested is Christianity and may end up in hell.

Now that you know about the battle between the two kingdoms, what each king offers each of their followers, as well as what you are required to do by the good King, Jesus you need to decide which king you will follow.

A man would be a fool to follow Satan and experience the torments Satan has for them when they die and end up in his kingdom under his rule because they valued some temporary pleasure or imagined authority more than Jesus and what He had promised them after death.

Jesus offers you much more in heaven, where there is endless joy, pleasures and delights. All He requires is to deny all Satan offers you and to embrace Jesus and what He desires of you and for you and to make certain He is The Lord of all your life and the focus of anything you do!

Eternity is a long time to miss out on what Jesus offers you while enduring the torments Satan places on you.

The choice in yours: Jesus or Satan!

As you now know all you need to make this choice you will have no one to blame but yourself for where you end up in eternity.

I have chosen Jesus. I recommend you do the same.
