Mic 6:6 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
Mic 6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
Mic 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Cleary we see in these versee that sacrifices are not necessary to be able to approach God but obedience is.
Verse 8 states the requirements of God to approach Him: Do Justly, Love Mercy and walk humbly with your God.
As these are words whose usage has changed in 400 years I will use plain English to restate the verse:
What does God require of you?
To decide things correctly like a court does
To love to express His Mercy
To walk humbly with God.
So we are to:
Test the spirit behind what we do and if it is from God we are to do it
We are to show Mercy to others like God shows to us (in other words express His Love and forgiveness)
We are to obey Him as our Lord if we want to be able to approach Him on a constant basis.
So the key to meeting God’s requirements of you is to accept what ever He asks you to do and do what He asks you how He desires you to do it and to express His Love and Mercy in all we do.
Because of the Redemption Jesus obtained for us we no longer need to sacrifice to approach Him.
Two of the main reasons people are in hell are unforgiveness and not repenting of something they know God required them to do and God’s requirements are clearly stated in the Bible so there is no excuse for not knowing them.
