Preface

There are two kings fighting a continuous battle to the death, over the souls of every person on earth who has lived, is living and will live and which will not end until one king is removed and destroyed. This battle is for your eternal soul and spirit.

On one side of the battle is God (who does only what is best for people). On the other side is Satan, who knows his time is short and seeks to destroy God’s creation and take to be with him in hell as many of God’s created people as he can.  Satan hates people and has great pleasure in tormenting them in his kingdom of hell.

We, on earth, are in the midst of this fighting and are actually what is being fought over as each king tries to obtain your allegiance, so that you will be a follower of him on earth and be with him forever after you die.

You cannot escape being involved in this battle. You are either fighting against Satan, as a follower of Jesus should be doing or you are either doing nothing about the battle (and helping Satan) and may even be fighting on the side of Satan, attacking Jesus, His Kingdom and His people. There are no fence sitters in this Battle. You are either helping Jesus or even if only by by indifference to this battle helping the other side (Satan).

If you do nothing about the battle (even though you say you are a follower of Jesus), you are not obeying Jesus and will end up with Satan in his kingdom of hell.

Satan knows he cannot defeat God but does not tell this to his followers on earth. He tries to deceive as many people as he can so that they will follow him and will end up in his kingdom of hell to be ruled and tormented by him forever.

If you desire to go to heaven, you really have no choice but to follow Jesus, resist Satan and be used by Jesus to destroy Satan’s kingdom,  his works and his purposes.

Introduction

Why be a Christian

What makes Christianity different to any other religion?

This book discusses Christianity and explains what  it is and how it is different from other belief systems

A definition so we know what I am writing about

What is a Christian?

A Christian is someone who follows Jesus as their King and obeys Him in whatever He asks them to do.  They become a citizen of His Kingdom and will be with Him in heaven after they die where they will receive all the wonderful things God has prepared for them.

Those who do not follow Jesus whether deliberately or through just not being interested in Him and what He requires of them, belong to the kingdom of His enemy, Satan and will go to the kingdom of hell after they die where Satan is ruler where they will be tormented forever.  Satan hates humans and his greatest delight is torturing them..=

The Nicene Creed

The trinity is first mentioned - the f act that there are three different persons ins God all equal and all God

The Father

WE BELIEVE in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.

The Lord The Jesus Christ

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.

What Jesus did

For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

Our Attitude to certain things

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.

Amen.

Notes:

‘Catholic’ in this creed means general church and not the Catholic Church.

‘Apostolic’ because it is based on what the apostles transmitted in their writings.

‘Baptism for forgiveness of sins” does not mean your sins are forgiven by it because Jesus did that at Calvary, but means you identify with Him by becoming baptised and it is an expression of your willing to die like He died for them because in those days you could die for being recognised as a Christian.

In Summary a Christian believes:

There are three persons in God: The Father, The Lord Jesus and The Holy Spirit
But only one God.
All are equally God and equal to each other.

The holy Spirit gives us Life
Jesus created all things

Jesus came to earth and was born by a woman
But His Father was God and not a human
So that Mary was a virgin when Jesus was born.

Jesus was crucified and buried but rose from the dead
And ascended in to heaven where He rules all things.

By His death He redeemed us so we could be in  heaven with Him and The father.

He will judge every living person one say
And His Kingdom is eternal and will never end.

Christians are baptised to identify with Jesus and the forgiveness of their sins by his death
and look forward to His coming and their new bodies they will get in heaven
as well as all that Jesus has prepared for them there.

Why Become a Christian?

You become a Christian because you believe in what it says it is.  In what Jesus did, said He did and said He will do. Otherwise you are not really a Christian as it requires a 100% commitment to be one and half-heartedness stops you being one.

So the first part of this book is on what it means to be a Christian.

Why you need Jesus

In the beginning God created everything.

He created mankind to relate to Him and built a beautiful Garden for them to live in. It was part of His Kingdom so it was perfect and there was nothing in it to defile it. In this Garden there was no death and decay. All was perfect. God was king of this garden.

In this garden God and man had a close personal relationship, walking and talking together as close friends would. Man had everything He needed except a wife. So God gave man a woman to be with the man forever as his wife and partner. She too enjoyed this close, personal relationship with God.

However, they both disobeyed God and by this rebelled against him (They rejected His rule over them). God was King of this beautiful, perfect place they were in. But they had rebelled against their ruler. This is called treason which is punishable by death or banishment from the kingdom of the King.

The man and the woman suffered both fates. They were cast out of the garden into the only other place available for them which was the enemy's kingdom on earth. and would die physically now. A place of imperfection God had prepared for His enemy: Satan, the devil. The world they were in also started to decay and no longer was perfect. They were now in a place ruled by the enemy of God.

The man and the woman both died, spiritually, because they could no longer go and talk to God and would be forever separated from Him after their death in the place His enemy ruled which was the only place they could go to wen they died.

Heaven has nothing defiled in it and they had  been defiled by sin so could not go there.

Whoever king you serve when you die is the one whose kingdom you go to when you die. If God is your King you are restored through what Jesus did at Calvary to the relationship that the man and the woman lost through their rebellion. If you do not go to be with God in His Kingdom you go to the only other place left, called hell, where Satan is king and he hates people so that he really causes them to suffer terribly.

God does not send people to hell. They go there because they have chosen to follow Satan and rejected what Jesus required of them. This is because they have done something which they know is wrong and refuse to give it up or because they were indifferent to what Jesus wanted them to do or deliberately disobeyed Him. Because they are defiled by this rebellion they cannot enter heaven where all is undefiled.

So man was in this predicament. God required a punishment for their rebellion and mankind was not able to meet it as God is infinite and man is finite.  The rebellion required an infinite punishment for restitution to God and mankind is finite so could not meet this requirement.

God saw that He alone could do something about this situation. God is Love by nature so He sent Jesus to die on Calvary and meet God’s requirements of mankind's punishment for every one that ever lived if they decided to wholeheartedly try to follow Jesus as their King.

So Jesus met the requirements of God's punishment and mankind so that mankind’s defilement was removed and mankind was once again able to have God as a close, personal, friend and to go to the beautiful place called heaven when they die where the original perfection of the garden exists, where these is no death or decay and all is perfect.

What must you do to get to heaven?

You must believe Jesus is Lord of all, that He is God, who came to and died for you on Calvary, redeemed you (removing every barrier between you and God) so that you can now enter heaven and then you must try wholeheartedly to obey Him in all He asks you to do which means you need to study His guidebook, The Bible and find someone who can teach you what it means to be a Christian and not just preach to you once a week in church and that you also need to find a group of Christians you can socialize with and be encouraged by them to live as a Christian.

You also need to be guided by The Holy Spirit so you know what God desires you to do for Him.

You also need to find a church that believes The Bible which will help you in the Christian life God has given you.  You also need to learn how to be guided by The Holy Spirit so He can tell you what God would like you to do.

After Calvary there is no more guilt shame of condemnation

AN important point to make is that after the death of Jesus there is no more guilt, shame or condemnation for doing anything deliberately wrong if you wholeheartedly try to stop doing it. All guilt, shame and condemnation was dealt with by Jesus at Calvary and now Satan tries to place these on you to  hide what Jesus did for you at Calvary.

The Holy Spirit will convict you that you have done wrong but will never shame, humiliate you, condemn you or make you feel guilty.

So if you feel these then give them to Jesus, tell Satan to go in The Name of Jesus and ask The Holy Spirit to take Satan’s place and deal with anything you are doing wrong that The Holy Spirit shows you that you are doing.

The results of becoming a Christian

Salvation

You now become a citizen of The Kingdom of God and not a church member.  You can go to church and still not be a Christian.  Remember that the devil goes to church to see how he can trap Christians and stop them hearing or understanding the truths they need to know.

Jesus told a person who went to heaven that the biggest problem in churches is that people know of Jesus but do not personally know them.  Demons know of Jesus better than we do but do not personally relate to Him or  obey Him unless forced to do so.

As a citizen of The Kingdom of God you go to heaven instead of hell when you die and have all the advantages and help you need to stay a Christian.  But you need to study The Bible to see what these are.

Redemption

Because you had rebelled against God by disobeying Him, God required your spiritual and physical death.  Remember that the punishment for rebellion against a king (called treason) is death.  This is why people die and go to hell.  They have not been reconciled to God as they cannot meet the requirements to do this.  The offence is infinite, against an infinite God and man is finite.  This is why Jesus had to come to earth as He is God and infinite so could meet God’s requirements to meet this punishment.

Jesus died on the cross as punishment for all sin.  Because He was infinite God He met the punishment for the sin of all who follow Him as their Lord.  Because He had never sinned (rebelled against God) Jesus should not have died which is why God had to raise Him from the dead.

A Personal relationship with God

Because Jesus died for our sin punishment, God treats us as if we had never sinned.  So we are no longer defiled by the spiritual consequences of sin and can now relate to God on a personal basis and go to be with Him in heaven.  God and heaven are undefiled and without redemption we could not enter heaven or into a personal relationship with God.

People go to hell because they have rejected the redemption Jesus offers so are defiled by sin when they die and hell is the only other place they can go to when they die.

The Holy Spirit

He is God and His role is to help us in our Christian life:

He gives us understanding of The Bible and what is in it, but only what we need to know.

He guides us in our daily life to do what Jesus asks us to do

He gives us the empowerment to express The Kingdom of God:

Miracles

Healing

Casting out demons

Evangelism

He is always there to help us if we ask Him too.

He will only do things to express The Kingdom of God, if it is the Will of Jesus, so we cannot force Him to do things that are not the Will of God but only an expression of our desires.

Being a Christian means you have certain responsibilities

The four 'R's

They are: relationships, rights, responsibilities and rewards (for carrying out your citizenship roles and responsibilities correctly). Salvation is a relationship that gives you certain rights, responsibilities and rewards.

Relationships:

You relate to: God

God The Father

As an adopted child

As a citizen of His Kingdom

As a worshipper

A beneficiary of His Love

God The Son (Jesus)

As your Lord (King) As your Saviour

As your redeemer

As your Friend

As part of His family (Step brother or Step sister)

God The Holy Spirit

As a student of His

As His temple (a vehicle of His in this world)

As your Guide and Comforter

As your Empowerer

Others

Inside or outside your family

Those under your authority ( You serve them) Those in authority over you ( You obey them unless they ask you to do something against the Will of God)

People you are sent to minister too (to serve and mentor them)

People sent to minister to you (we submit to them only for the period God has sent them to minister to us so God can use them for the purpose for which He has sent them to you)

Ourselves

Your Spirit: to keep it in harmony with The King and His Kingdom

Your heart: so that it is continuously focused on the things of Jesus

Your soul (mind): to keep it sound and focused on The Kingdom

Your flesh: to discipline so Satan cannot use it

Your body: to keep it fit for the work of The Kingdom

Rights:

To serve God and then, as directed by Him, His citizens and others

To expect the support and protection of The King as you serve Him

To approach the King and expect a hearing

To have your needs met so you can serve Him as He desires you too

All the rights you have as an heir of Salvation

These rights are gifts granted by The King because of your relationship to Him and not because of anything you have done to make you worthy to receive these gifts. They are an expression of His Love and Grace towards you.

Responsibilities:

To serve and represent The King as He directs you too

To defend the King, His Will (desires, rules and laws), His Name (His Character) as well as His Kingdom.  Jesus builds His kingdom but we must be available to go wherever He wants us too and do whatever He asks of us so He can use us in His tasks for us.

To be good stewards of what The King has trusted you with (relationships, knowledge, things He desires you to be steward of on His behalf)

To do your part in the salvation relationship and develop it in the way He asks you to through wholehearted obedience to His requirements of you.

To love others and yourself as He loves you and everyone else

Remember that ministry is first to God.  Then He will tell you when, where, how and in what way He desires you to serve Him but has the right not to tell you why you are serving Him that way.  It is wrong to talk about 'our' ministry.  We, as citizens of the Kingdom, do not have our own ministry. What we do have is service to the King and then to others as directed by our King. This means you minister/serve as He directs you too and uses this to teach you and mould you in an area. This is the way He matures you into His image (Character) so you can be like Him in thought and action and be prepared by Him for heaven.

We really only have one ministry and that is to our King, Jesus.  All Kingdom ministry to others is a result of this.

Rewards (Ga1 6:7,8):

Being in  His  eternal presence with  Him  in  heaven and beyond (a personal relationship forever with each peson of God)

His eternal provision for your needs: now, in heaven and beyond

Rewards in Heaven (including a place to live in with Him forever)

Rewards of additional spiritual responsibility (promotion on earth) and the resultant appropriate empowerment

The rewards of an heir of Salvation

Holiness

We need to pursue holiness: In other words we need to know what Satan desires you to do so you can reject it and follow what Jesus desires you to do.  Holiness, In its essence is rejecting all Satan asks or suggests you do and doing what Jesus says you are to do in that situation.

To maintain holiness you need to reject all Satan offers you

You need to obey the Will of Jesus for you in all you do.

Holiness is the result of a decision to keep Jesus as Lord of your life and of all you do and to reject what Satan suggests you do.  It requires an act of Will and endurance to continually reject the attacks off Satan.  This is why you need to know how to remove Satan and halt his attacks against you.

We are told that without the pursuit of holiness  you do not go to heaven.  This is because you will follow things that belong to Satan so that Jesus is not complete Lord of your life which means you will not have a personal relationship with Jesus as your King. By deliberately following the things of Satan you are rejecting Jesus as Lord of your life.

Salvation is a personal relationship with Jesus as your King and The Father in heaven as an adopted son of His.

God requires us to live up to our level o spiritual maturity and holiness is a key factor in this as is Lordship.

Stewardship of all God gives you

God created everything, owns everything and maintains everything.  Man does not own anything and is a steward of all God lets him have control of.

His Life

His family

His house and all in or on its land

His employment

His Leisure time

Ministry He does for Jesus.

The relationship He has with others and Jesus

His finances

All is stewardship and not ownership.  Christians are required to be faithful stewards which means they ask God what to do with what they have and do not treat it as their own or assume this.

The Bible says clearly that you are to be a faithful steward of what God gives you and to deliberately not do what God says to do with something He has given you is  rebellion against Him (sin).

When you steal, you do not seal from man but form God as you are taking something of His and using it for your selfish purposes.

Laws of the Land

God has allowed government authority to be placed over you so you must obey the laws they make when they do not go against the Laws of God.  This means you must observe speed limits and pay correct tax.  They represent God’s authority so you are really disobeying Him.  Christians are in hell because the deliberately disobeyed the laws of the land and would not stop doing it.

The work of a Christian

The final commands of Jesus can be summarised as follows:

“All power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in My name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And these signs shall follow them that believe;

In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents;
and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover and,

lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”

Naturally you are to express God’s quality of Love in this work and must pursue holiness so you are not compromised in your work by Satan’s world system.

If you are deliberately not doing this then you are in rebellion against God.  If you are not doing it because you do not know how to do it then The Bible says you must learn how to do it or you are in rebellion against God by rejecting doing it because you do not want to learn how to do these things.

Nowhere in The Bible has Jesus said that you no longer have to do these things and man cannot tell you that you do not have to do these things.

The protection of Jesus

Jesus is our King and a good King protects His Citizens when it is in accordance with His Will.  He will deliver you miraculously if He needs to but at other times He will let you suffer.  The main reasons for this suffering are:

To mature and strengthen your faith as a follower of His

To demonstrate the Kingdom faith is in you

You suffer as a result of sin and He has to let you suffer the consequences of your sins but Will help you through this difficult time.

It is how a Christian suffers that shows they are different to the people of the kingdom of Satan and at times this will speak louder to the followers of Satan than any preaching will and has at times made them desire to follow Jesus.

Jesus may seem far away in your suffering but He really is there.  It is just we do not see Him.  He promises to never leave us or forsake us and if He was not there it would make Him a lier.

So rejoice that you suffer because God thinks you are worthy enough to suffer for Him and demonstrate His Kingdom and that it is worth Him investing time to allow you to suffer and mature as His follower. He will always provide a way out (1 Cor 10:13).

The delegated Authority of Jesus

As a Representative of Jesus on earth we have His Authority over His enemy Satan because He has defeated Satan and now controls Satan who is His prisoner.  Satan is still allowed to roam the earth because Jesus has not come back to claim it from Him but soon will and will reign for 1000 years while Satan is imprisoned so he cannot roam the earth and attack Christians.

Mar 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mar 16:16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mar 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mar 16:18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

The delegation to defeat Satan and destroy his plans and workings is found here and it is the only delegation we have been given.

Jesus has delegated to us only one thing - authority over His enemy Satan.

Jesus said that Christians would do these things and He has not withdrawn this statement even though modern bibles imply He never made it or the western evangelical church states they are not for today’s Christian.

Modern Bibles imply we do not have this authority which shows how heretical they are. Removing the only attack weapon we have directly against Satan.  There are other weapons such as prayer and praise but they are not weapons that can command Satan to do or stop doing things or that can destroy his plans.

This removal shows that Satan is behind modern bibles trying to make them ineffective against him and corrupt the Christian faith so people do not believe in or follow Jesus as He desires them too.

A Christian is to do these things to express The Kingdom of God on earth and give Glory to God in all that happens in these things so you will only be able to do them if they are the Will of God and not a personal desire to express spiritual maturity.  It is only as these are expressed will the supernatural Kingdom of God be seen in a natural world.

If you know these commands and that they still apply and do not allow God to use you in them then you are rebelling against  God and face possibly going to hell if you do not repent of this attitude.

Remember though, that it is the expression of God’s Will that matters and that God will not do these things through you if it is not His will to do them.

The Father gives us every god thing we need

Bad things come from Satan but God is Love and will only give us what we need to help us be a good child of His.

We have the following promise for God:

Mat 6:31  Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Mat 6:32  For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Mat 6:33  But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

In other words, do not be concerned for your  needs.  Seek to increase your relationship with God and continue to do His Will for you and like the good King He is He  will provide all you need to do this.  After all, we are His faithful citizens and what king does not provide the needs of His faithful people so they can serve Him better.

Eternity with Jesus and The Father

Whose king you are following when you die is the king whose kingdom you go to after death.  If you follow Jesus you go to heaven with all its benefits.  If you are not following Jesus then you to be forever with Satan and all the tortures He has for you.

What king does not reward their faithful followers?  So the reward of the followers of Jesus is heaven with all the good things it offers which includes this relationship with God.

Hell is the only other place those who reject or are indifferent to Jesus can go to where they reap the rewards of accepting what Satan suggested they do - eternal torment and torture.

The greatest failing that sends a Christian

The greatest failing that sends a Christian to hell is deliberately not showing God’s Love to another.  The main expressions of this are:

The unforgivingness of another.  The Father said that he would not forgive you your sins if you would not forgive another their sins.  People have lived a ‘good Christian life but would not forgive another.  If they had really lived a good Christian life they would have forgiven them and obeyed God in this matter.

Not wanting to reconcile to another which is really a result if unforgivingness

Deliberately not wanting to give up a wrong action you know you need to stop.

Remember that sin is deliberate and  you must know you are doing it.

All God requires is for you to wholeheartedly try and do what He requires.  You will fail as you are not perfect and all you need to do is stop doing the wrong thing and to wholeheartedly continue to try not to do it again.

We are told to ask for His help so when you are tempted to do wrong ask for God’s help and tell the devil to go to Jesus in the Name of Jesus and ask The Holy Spirit to take the devil’s place.

We are told to endure on behalf of Jesus until the end of the trial even though it may mean our death,  When we die we gain everything we have lived for so death should not traumatise us but be a joy as  it  leads us to heaven and the fulfilment of our relationship with God and all that He has promised to do for us.

God is Love

It is always important to remember that God is Love and whatever He does for you is an expression of His Love.  We may not see or understand it here on earth but we will in heaven and be grateful for what happened.

Christianity is an act of faith and it is silly to not trust God’s Love by not having faith in it.

Faith in God’s  follower of Jesus is believes in the reason for His coming to earth an in all  He says He did at Calvary.

Also if God is not Love then we have real problems as it means there may be not much choice between following Him or Satan.

We know God is worth following and Satan is to be rejected.

So we should trust God’s Love for us in all that happens.

How to live as a Christian

Attitudes

Thee are three main attitudes needed to successfully live the Christian life:

Holiness - the rejection of all Satan offers you or asks you to do and the embracing (wholeheartedly doing) of all Jesus offers you or asks of you to do

Heb 12:14  Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

God’s Quality of Love expressed in all you do - to be like Jesus you must treat others as He treats them

Mar 12:29  And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

Mar 12:30  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Mar 12:31  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Joh 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Joh 13:35  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

The Ten Commandments were all based on expressing God’s quality Love to another.  If  you had this quality of love in all you did then you would not do the things the Ten Commandments forbids  you do.

Lordship - obeying Jesus in all you ask because you are His citizen and you love Him sufficiently to do this.

Luk 6:46  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Mat_7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

1 Sam 15:22(CEV)  "Tell me," Samuel said. "Does the LORD really want sacrifices and offerings? No! He doesn't want your sacrifices. He wants you to obey him.

Christianity is not a religion where you must do rituals for or sacrifice animals or things to please God.  Obedience is a result of your love and appreciation of Him for what He has done for you. God is pleased by your loving Him with the same quality of Love which with He Loves you and by your obeying Him out of appreciation of His Love for you - the same quality of Love that made Jesus give up everything (Ruling a universe, ownership of it) and come to earth and die for us at Calvary so we could be restored to a wonderful personal relationship with Him.

The purpose of it all:

We are reminded what Solomon said in Ecclesiastes:

Ecc 12:13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Ecc 12:14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

The word ‘fear’ here means a reverential respect based on your Love for God.  It does not mean to be afraid of Him.  God is perfect Love and you do not need to be afraid of someone who loves  you perfectly.

God’s Quality of Love is the basis for all Christian activity and attitudes

If we desire to be like our Father in heaven we will try and express the same quality of Love He does in all that we do.  This is the only way to serve Him properly as any other attitude has selfishness in it.

In heaven, all have this quality of Love and as earth is the training ground for heaven we need to work at developing this quality of love in our life in preparation for when we go to heaven.

All you do should be an expression of God's Love otherwise you are expressing yourself and not what God desires you to express.

The Holy Spirit is our guide in living The Christian life

We are told that to be a child of God, and thus a citizen of His Kingdom in a personal salvation relationship with Him we need to be guided by The Holy Spirit in all we do:

Rom 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

We are also told that He will give us understanding if what we need to know about God and His things:

Jn 16:13 (DRB)  But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will teach you all truth. For he shall not speak of himself: but what things soever he shall hear, he shall speak. And the things that are to come, he shall shew you.

God is a God of Love and shows this by coming and helping us learn what He requires of us and teaching us how to do it.  So it is very important to be able to hear The Holy Spirit’s guidance when The Bible is silent on how to deal with a matter.

God knew that His enemy, Satan, would attack His people so came to earth to help us fight Satan and His plan’s to destroy us by teaching us and showing us what God requires of us.  We defeat Satan by a Lordship altitude, where we seek to obey only Jesus and by an attitude of holiness, where we reject all that Satan offers us.

How You Hear The Holy Spirit

Unless The Holy Spirit or Satan actually appear to you, they can only talk to you in your mind, usually through thoughts and images. When they are communicating with you it is as if they are your own thoughts or that you are talking to yourself. People often mistake this for a disorder as if there are apparently two personalities in them when demons are speaking audibly in their mind. Also, when The Holy Spirit is speaking, they usually think it is their own thoughts. So you need to know who is interacting with you.

They communicate through: thoughts, dreams, day dreams, emotions, sensations, feelings etc. and sometimes verbally by placing the appearance of speech in your mind.

If it is not your thoughts, or one of the other communicating methods, then it is either The Holy Spirit or Satan placing them there. You can actually hold a conversation with the Holy Spirit or the demons representing Satan and ask them questions and they will answer if appropriate. Only answers from The Holy Spirit are 100% truthful. Demons will answer in a way that furthers their purposes for you.

You will need to silence your mind. You may have trouble hearing The Holy Spirit, especially if you are in a place full of distractions or in a place where Satan rules. Remember, The Holy Spirit, has a still, small (quiet) voice.

He will place an impression, picture, or thought in your mind, give you an emotion, or even speak to you in an audible voice. You will know it is from Him as it will not cause you to fear. He may speak in other ways than these, but these are the normal ways. You may feel a check in your spirit which is a 'No'. If He does not reply it is also a 'No', so you ask Him the reason why He said 'No' as He may tell you and you may find out more by this than by the answer you wanted.

If He gives you an answer it will line up with The Bible, and you will have peace in your heart over it. Remember, God will not contradict His Bible.

Satan will try to cause you doubt about what you are hearing then cause you to reason that it is wrong or impossible so that you believe you are not hearing correctly. Satan will also at times place fear or other wrong emotions in you to cause you to doubt God's Love, Control, Plans or Purposes for you. Satan does this to take away your trust in God and His Love for you, your Joy in Him as well as rewards and His things God has for you.

Satan can only deceive or distract you as he tries to stop  you doing God’s Will in whatever you are doing for God.

Satan will also try to have you misinterpret or misapply The Bible in a way that suits his purposes. At times Satan will block you hearing The Holy Spirit so you need to cast him out in Jesus’ Name and stop him doing this and then ask the Holy Spirit again what you desired to know from Him. If you do not hear from The Holy Spirit, ask the following:

Are you in a place in which Satan rules so that the spiritual atmosphere is blocking The Holy Spirit?

Are you in sin (especially unforgiveness) and do you need to deal with it using the five steps?

Are you to ask this particular question of The Holy Spirit? If you do not get an answer, it may not be the time to ask It may not be the time to receive the answer It may not be an appropriate question to ask

Jesus may not want you to have the answer so Satan will not know what Jesus is going to do and try to stop it or replace it with his version of what you are to do :

Are you to command demons that are blocking you from hearing the Holy Spirit to leave in Jesus' Name?

Do you really want to hear the answer?

Are you seriously listening or just going through the motions of listening

You do not really need to know what God is doing as God will always do His best for you if you seek to know Him better and to do His Will. As long as you obey what you know He asks you to do, you will be on the path He has prepared from before creation on which are all the things He needs you to do as well as all the promises and blessings He has given you (Matt 6:33, Eph 2:10).

We are told:

Deu_29:29  The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

God is economical and tells us only what we need to know to do His Will.  God would not be a God of Love if He did not do this.  Anything more could distract us or cause us problems.  Secret societies seek to know more than what God reveals and Satan helps them and by helping them leads them more and more astray from God.

A problem with the modern church is that knowledge has become more important than knowing God in a personal way.  Some of the greatest Christians are not theologians but people who have suffered and gotten to know God more personally because of this suffering.

A danger is to desire something so much you do not hear God’s answer but one Satan is able to give because it is the one you want to accept. This is why it is good to have another witness like the Bible recommends whenever you have an answer or prophecy from The Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is your Companion in this life, so it is necessary to be in continual communication with Him as He helps you to navigate the traps of Satan and do the Will of God.

It is hard to be a child of The Father if you do not know what He desires you to do and The Holy Spirit has been given so you can hear what The Father desires you to do when The Bible is silent in a matter so you need to be able to clearly hear Him.

When tempted

Satan can only cause you to sin by you accepting what he suggests you do.  So the way to fight him is as follows:

It is based on how Jesus said to fight Satan:

James 4:7 (KJV)  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

In other words make Jesus lord of the temptation and command Satan to leave in the Name of Jesus (the Authority He has delegated to you so that you can do this).

You also need to make certain Satan does not have a right to attack you and can if you do not take this right away.  Such things as:

Having a sin you do not want to give up

Not forgiving another

Not reconciling to another (a form of unforgiveness)

Are all things that prevent Satan from being cast out permanently because he can come back in if the sin is not given up.  These three attitudes are the main reason many Christians go to hell and a result from Jesus not being Lord of their life so that they are rebelling against Him by having the attitudes carried out in their life.

You also need to heal any damage Satan did to you and ask The Holy Spirit to fill you so Satan cannot come back in.  The latter was told to me years ago and was confirmed by Jesus to a lady who was taken to heaven.

So the five steps are

Give it to Jesus to be Lord of

Check for unforgiveness or sin you do not want to give up and work out why you do not desire to give any up as deliverance in an area of your life may be needed.

Command Satan to leave in Jesus’ Name and to go to Jesus and take all he did to you with him

Command healing and restoration on all he did to you in the Name of Jesus

Ask The Holy Sprite to fill you completely so demons cannot come back in.

In summary:

Lordship

Self-examination

Remove Satan

Command healing Restoration

Ask Spirit to fill you completely

Ministry

Webster.s 1828 dictionary defines ‘minister’ as:

MIN'ISTER, n. [L.]

1. Properly, a chief servant; hence, an agent appointed to transact or manage business under the authority of another; in which sense, it is a word of very extensive application.

In other words, the main meaning is one appointed by an authority to serve another on their behalf.

As a Citizen of The Kingdom of God you serve Jesus and not a church or denomination.  You must always check what you are doing with The Holy Spirit to see if it is what God desires you to do.

The word ‘minister’ in a church or denomination is an administrative position and the minister serves the denomination and its purposes and not those of The Kingdom of God although at times they may line up.

In a marriage, for example, we are told the wife serves Jesus by being a good wife to her husband.  She serves the husband as a result of her attitude to serving Jesus.  Ministry is the service of another, on behalf of Jesus, having the same attitude towards them  as Jesus does.  Any other attitude is selfishness and serves our purposes and not those of Jesus.

Other belief systems

To know the difference between Christianity and other beliefs I discuss them now and how they are different to Christianity.

One characteristic is that sacrifice and ritual is required to get to their equivalent of heaven and not just faith and obedience.

Satanism, which also in the form of New Age belief

This is a belief that Satan is the true God and good so that people will worship Him as He tries to be like Jesus and take the place Jesus should have in their life.

It can take the form of idol worship where the idol is run by a demon of Satan making people believe that they are a god.

Animism is a form of idolatry where nature is worshipped and not an idol but in reality demons are behind the nature that is worshipped.

Religions

A religion is a belief system where rules are followed to please a god whether the god is a defied human or a mythical entity.  The adherents are required to do ritual to please their god in the hope they will get to heaven  Faith is in the ritual and not in the god’s ability to get them there without ritual or sacrifice.  Rituals nearly require a type of sacrifice, even if only the time and effort of the individual performing the ritual.

Cults

A cult has a belief in Jesus but it is a wrong belief and at times they even rewrite The Bible so it says that what they believe in is correct.

Usually salvation and/or redemption requires the adherents to do ritual so that these are not purely by faith in what Jesus has done.  They also may believe Jesus was human and became God (which modern bible translations imply)

Philosophy based belief systems

These are a worship of man’s wisdom and God may not even enter into their belief system.

The thoughts about morals and purpose are based on what man imagines they are and people live according to these beliefs.  There not even be a morality as we know it so that practises that many belief systems abhor may be a part of their philosophical belief system.

Science

Science, in a sense is a philosophical belief system where the wisdom of science replaces God.  There may be a belief in God but it is secondary to what science believes has happened.  This is why evolution is a religion as it scientists belief it is the truth regardless of how implausible its activities may be.

This is why the creation in six days is ridiculed by science because according to evolution the earth took 4 billion years to get where it is even though the evidence shows that eh earth cannot  be more than 100 000 yrs old and it takes more faith to believe in their evolutionary system than to believe in God.  So science becomes he belief system and belief in God is subordinated to it.

Humanism

This is in a sense a worship of humanity and what humans  have done.

Science and philosophy have this as a component except the focus in more specific on these two religions and not just a general worship of what  people have achieved.

Atheism

This is a lack of belief in a God.  In a sense an atheist is their own god as they really worship their belief system that refuses to believe in a god.  In a sense they are a type of god stating they know everything and that because of this they definitely can say there is no god.

Agnosticism

An agnostic states they do not know what to believe about whether or not a god exists.  It is a cop-out not having a person believing for against a God as they would then have to do something about their belief system.

In all the above the key element of Christianity is missing.  A Christian has a personal relationship with God because of their faith in whom He is, a God who accepts them as they are.  None of the above systems have any personal relationship with God because of who they are in Jesus but the relationship is one of acceptance by performance or man reasoned requirement.

Bible Translations

The Bible is our guide book so we need to study it and apply it.  In fact we are told to study it so that we will know what God requires of us so that when we die we will be accepted by Him having done what He has told us to do in His Bible.

You need to be careful when buying a Bible as modern Bibles are inaccurate being based on two forgeries and a codex that cannot be trusted so that its doctrine is incorrect.  Satan could not destroy Christianity so He corrupted its foundation, The Bible, and substituted his version of it so that the doctrine in modern translations is watered down and at times incorrect.

If you do the research you will see what I hvae said is correct.

To obtain correct doctrine you need to use a King James translation or a translation of the Syriac Peshitta such as that by David Bauscher or the Hebraic roots Bible and not one based on the Modern Greek but on the original Aramaic.

Because there is so much money and prestige involved in modern bibles you will not find out about their heresies as it is hidden by those who control bible publishing so they will keep gaining money from the sale of modern bibles.  As an example of this, the person who owns the copyright to the New International Version also owns the copyright to the Satanic Bible so it is obvious money is his driving force and not faith.

Do the research and you will find out how wrong in their doctrine modern bibles are.  I have done the research which is why the real place for modern bibles is in my trash can.  However I keep them so I can examine if they are as corrupt as they appear to be.

Preface

Every Christian needs to know their enemy will attack them and how to defeat his attacks.  The reason Satan attacks you is that you do not belong to him and he desires you to be a part of his kingdom, now and in hell after you  die.

The objective of this book is to give you some guidance in regard to recognising an attack of Satan as well as how to defeat it so you will be able to recognise an attack of Satan and defeat it.
