It is designed to find similarities and differences between various faiths with an emphasis on similarities so that they can fellowship on common ground so that there is one religious suystem even if different names are used for the members like protestant, catholic, Muslim etc.
It took off in the early 1900's and when developed by the mid 1900’s we suddenly had ecumenism and interfaith dialogue.
The main problem stopping this between Christians and other religions was the King James Bible. However that was dealt with in the new versions where Jesus was not divine but just like any other religious founder.
So we now have interfaith dialogue with non-Christian religions in preparation for the one wold religions that is almost upon us.
Now the true purpose of modern versions is seen.
