Is it in The Bible?
If Yes: Then it must obey or agree with what The Bible says it is or it is error and possibly heretical.
If No: Then it must pass all of the following tests. It cannot be doctrine or enforceable on anyone but may be a denominational or church requirement if it does not fail any of the following tests.
The following tests are used in this book when the belief or practice is not mentioned in The Bible
Does the Bible infer it is allowable? If it infers it is allowable you still cannot make doctrine about it but only say it is a possibility and even then it must pass all the other tests below.
Does it express God’s type of Love and build up a person spiritually
Does it give God’s Glory to another? God said He will not give His Glory to another.
Does it promote The Father, The Holy Spirit, Jesus or His Kingdom or someone else?
Other sources that may help:
What does the Old Testament say about it or its practice?
What do the early church documents say about it or its practice?
A doctrine is a belief that is fundamental to your life style which you believe in and/or live by.
Biblical Doctrine are statements that God has made you must believe in and/or live by. In a sense they are like laws. Obey them or suffer the consequences.
How important is Christian Doctrine
Christian Doctrine are the basic beliefs a church has and according to the accuracy of its doctrine Will be the accuracy of its beliefs and expression of The Christian faith.
All the way throughout The Bible we are encouraged to learn doctrine and apply it and to teach it to others.
Correct doctrine will:
Tell you who God is
Teach you what it means to be a Christian
Teach you how to relate to God correctly
Teach you how to live and serve God
Amongst other things so that it is essential a Christian has a correct understanding of what qualifies as Christian Doctrine.
This book gives tests for you to determine what doctrine is and what can be practiced or believed in that is not mentioned in The Bible.
There are many books listing what is considered Christian Doctrine so I do not list these doctrines but only know how to evaluate what doctrine is and give some examples of evaluating whether something is or is not doctrine.
This is a book that lists what doctrine is and discusses a few things to determine whether or not they can be doctrine or practice of a Christian. It does not apply them to denominations or cults but just states what The Bible says and what the error is that the doctrine or practice makes. It does not list what is classified as true Christian Biblical Doctrine
If you really are searching for the truth about a doctrine or practice The Holy Spirit will show whether or not there is error in what you believe or practice.
If the doctrine contravenes or modifies what the The Bible states about it then the doctrine or practice is usually in error and this book lists some of the ways this is done.
What The Bible says is our yardstick for Doctrine and Christian living and in reality to measure everything else against.
It alone is God’s revelation of His Will and all must be subservient to what it states or requires and that includes prophecy and words of knowledge and wisdom.
Anything else is manmade and cannot be used as a basis for doctrine or for anything else that attempts to take the Authority of the Biblical Scriptures.
This book takes the standpoint that what God has said in His Bible is an imperative and must be obeyed.
The guidelines in this book are designed to help you evaluate what is or is not biblical doctrine as well as what practices or beliefs you have are acceptable to God.
I give the principles in the Bible to be applied to the doctrine or practice and do not specifically mention any denomination, person or specific application to a person or denomination.
That is how Jesus told me to write it.
His Biblical principles are used so if you disagree with them argue with Him, unless you can show me from His Bible where I am wrong so I can correct this book.
Belief in Bible
You must believe The Bible is God’s revealed Will to mankind. If you do not believe this you cannot use it for anything as you do not believe it is true in part or whole. This means you have no absolute yardstick to measure God’s Will for you as you have rejected what He declares to be His Will. Having rejected part of it you cannot be certain that there is no error in the rest so you need to find a book you can trust and a God that you can believe can do what He says He has done.
If you believe The Bible is 100% His Will you will not alter it or interpret it in a way different to how He says it should be interpreted and you Will accept 100% what He has had written in it.
Error occurs when people want to believe something different to what The Bible says and so alter it or interpret it differently to how God says it should be interpreted. Doing this is a form of heresy and in the extreme case of editing The Bible to suit a belief system that is not acceptable to God we have heresy.
You must completely accept The Bible 100% or you cannot use it as you do not know what parts are truth and able to be believed in.
You cannot use modern Bibles to work out what is correct doctrine. Their doctrine is different to that of the early Church and to what has been transmitted from the time of the apostles until now either by church records, Greek codices or word of mouth as it was taught to people by ministers.
In these modern bibles:
Jesus is not born of a virgin but from a man and a women.
He is not divine but is made divine because of what He did.
He sinned so could not redeem us so Calvary is about salvation which is no longer by faith but by what you do.
They state you do not heed to believe in Jesus to be baptized.
There are many other doctrinal errors in these bibles because they use three codices. Two have been proved to be forgeries and the third is out of the period they say you can use for accurate translation. So these modern bibles ignore what was historically transmitted from the time of the apostles and indulge in error as these three codices allow them to translate their Greek to proclaim their doctrine.
It is to be noted that some of these theologians do not believe Jesus was Divine and a leading one is an atheist.
So if you follow modern bibles then it will be of no use to read further in this book.
This seldom if ever taught to a Christian but unless The Gospel is examined from a Kingdom perspective it will not be understood correctly.
In the beginning God created a beautiful garden. It was part of His Kingdom and He was King of it. In it He created a man and a woman to look after it and relate to Him on a personal basis, to enjoy His Company. But the man and the woman rejected the authority of God and rebelled against Him. They sinned (deliberately disobeyed God)
When you rebel against a King the punishment is death. They had rebelled against their King and so were removed from His Kingdom (spiritual death). They were cast out of the garden and lost their capacity to live forever (physical death) and so would now physically die one day. Having died spiritually by rejecting God’s authority and being cast out of His Kingdom, they were now to also physically die.
As the man and the woman were the ones rebelling and sentenced to this death they could not do anything about their situation. God had forgiven them but justice still required a penalty to be paid by them or compensation to be paid to God for them by someone.
God had made it necessary for an animal to die in our place so we would not die spiritually for our sin. But an animal sacrifice was insufficient as the animal was finite and it was a rebellion offence against an infinite God.
So God decided He needed to do something about it Himself as He is the only one in the universe who could do something (because He alone is infinite). So Jesus (who is God) came to earth to teach what God required of us, then died as our sacrifice for our sin (replacing the need for an animal to be sacrificed on a regular basis) and was raised from the dead. He was able to be our sacrifice as He had not sinned and was raised from the dead because death was the penalty for those who had sinned and He had not sinned so God should not have had Him die. But God allowed the death of Jesus so that Jesus could take our place and meet the required penalty for the sins of everyone that had ever died and by this redeem all mankind from spiritual death in hell, the prison of those that reject Jesus.
This death of Jesus was the price that met the requirement for God’s Justice to be satisfied and by this sacrifice; Jesus also redeemed us, His death being the payment that satisfied God’s penalty for our sin.
Everyone has rejected God and His Will at some time, and this has placed them self under this judgment for this rebellion against their King (God).
So those who followed Jesus as King (Lord) have the spiritual consequence of their sins dealt with by Jesus when He died on The Cross and will be resurrected from our physical death to a new life in heaven if they continually wholeheartedly try to follow Jesus as their Lord (King).
This is why Jesus died and this is why you need to be a wholehearted follower of Him as your Lord so He can be your saviour from the consequences of your sin and from going to hell.
Jesus does not look at our results but at the attitude of our heart towards Him. As long as you wholeheartedly try to follow Him it does not matter if you sin as long and you try to not do the thing you sinned in future. If you have trouble doing this then you may need spiritual deliverance.
If you do not follow Jesus as Lord you go to the only other place left to go too which is hell where the king you followed (Satan) by rejecting God is ruler and you are ruled by this evil person for ever and suffer the tortures he places on humans because he despises and hates them so much.
Before a person can add to what The Bible teaches, the Author, God, must give them permission to do this. God has not delegated or given permission to anyone to add to the doctrine in The Bible. A delegation must be in writing and there is no written delegation to do this in The Bible.
There is no delegation or permission in The Bible that allows man to add to the doctrine in The Bible. In fact there is a warning not to do this.
So anything classified as doctrine which is not in The Bible has been made by a person who is warned by God not to add or subtract from its Doctrine and whom has not been given authority by God to make new doctrine.
These pronouncements, if they pass the tests, can be a denominational doctrine but not a Biblical doctrine and cannot be enforced on other Christians.
A person cannot assume the right to add doctrine as He is not greater than or equal to God to over ride Him. So a person cannot add to or subtract or interpret in an original way (different to what The Bible says it should be interpreted) without placing themselves under the Judgement of God (as editors of modern Bibles have found when they altered the text to leave out things that God wanted left in and have lost their voice -4 at last count - and there is no physical reason for them not being able to speak).
What actually is doctrine?
Webster’s 1828 dictionary states;
In a general sense, whatever is taught. Hence, a principle or position in any science; whatever is laid down as true by an instructor or master. The doctrines of the gospel are the principles or truths taught by Christ and his apostles.
In essence, a Biblical doctrine is a Biblical Truth that has been stated in The Bible.
Making Doctrine (Doctrine not in The Bible)
The making of Doctrine not in The Bible calls God a liar. He said He revealed to us all we needed to know in Duet 29:29, which reads as follows:
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but the things that are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
God reveals to us what we need to know so we can obey Him properly. We do not need to know or believe anything else. So to add to doctrine with things that are not in The Bible says God lied and did not tell you everything you needed to know.
To compromise doctrine of the Bible by altering it in any way states you believe the Bible is wrong or you would not have had to alter it to match what you believed which means you do not really believe what the Bible and says and so can no longer use The Bible anymore as you do not know where else it is wrong.
Either of these things is dangerous as it leads to doctrine God has not declared which often leads to beliefs that are wrong and/or contravening His requirements of obedience in some way.
The belief itself is an idol as you have placed it before God and the truths He requires you to obey.
It must be remembered that doctrinal statements are man’s interpretation of what The Bible says so are subject to bias and error, especially when the statement maker wants the doctrine to say something they believe in which is not in The Bible.
Where The Bible is silent, we should be silent and not try to find things that may not be there to find which Satan gladly helps us to do to lead us into error.
The problem is especially relevant to tradition which is where man wants to believe things that are not in The Bible or to make a misinterpretation (usually deliberate) of what The Bible says so that it really ends up being a non-Biblical belief.
Either of these things is dangerous as it leads to doctrine God has not declared which often leads to beliefs that are wrong and/or contravening His requirements of obedience in some way.
In Summary then:
Doctrine is a statement of how a man interprets what The Bible says on a subject
Tradition is a statement of how a man wishes The Bible to be interpreted by reasoning what it should have said, according to them.
The making of Doctrine
Doctrine is based on what The Bible says so is a precise Statement of a Bible truth. If it is not in The Bible then it cannot be doctrine. This means that any books that are not of The Bible, no matter what source they are from, can never be Christian doctrine.
One reason for this is that God has not delegated to mankind the right to make new doctrine, that is to say doctrine not in The Bible
It is to be noted that no angels ever made or passed on doctrine to people so any angel that does is not following God’s practice of their only being His messengers and so cannot come from God but from Satan who will use them to pervert Scripture in some way.
As God has finished giving us doctrine when the apostles died, any one after them claiming to be giving doctrine from God is really passing on doctrine from Satan with the objective of removing or compromising doctrine and replacing it with Satan’s version.
Do we need any scriptures apart from The Bible?
God said in His Bible (Duet 29:29) that He told us all we needed to know to be able to obey Him properly.
Duet 29:29 (ERV) "There are some things that the LORD our God has kept secret. Only He knows these things. But He told us about some things. And these teachings are for us and our descendants forever. And we must obey all the commands in that law.
God has told us all we need to know to do what He requires of us so adding any new scriptures is:
Calling God a liar saying we need to know more information because God has not told us all we need to know.
Man made so it cannot help us met God’s requirements because we do not know if what they have written is what God requires of us.
It also means we are looking for things God has not told us because He does not want us to know them so He will not tell them to us anyway which means anything that is found is from Satan who will give us what He needs to make us follow him and/or reject God.
So any new books that have been ‘found’ that are called scripture are from Satan trying to form a new cult or religion or modify Christianity because God has told us everything He desires us to know so will not give us anything else as we do not need to know it.
Note, guidance is different to knowledge. He guides us and tells us what to do but does not give us new doctrine.
He may give us greater understanding of what we have had revealed to us but that is not the same as giving us new scripture.
Only people who do not understand what God has done or who want to change things to suit their belief system tamper with the Bible or find ‘new’ scripture to support their beliefs and desires.
These are books that are not accepted as part of The Bible Canon. If they pass the tests then they can be used as they will not contradict what he Bible says, but they cannot be used to make new doctrine.
Where they say things that are not mentioned in The Bible but which do not appear to be Biblically incorrect then you can accept them but as a belief but not as doctrine;
Biblical doctrine you must die defending.
Beliefs can be dropped without fear of disobeying God.
Is it in The Bible?
If Yes. Then it must obey or agree with what The Bible says or it is error and possibly heretical.
If No. Then it must pass all of the following tests. It cannot be doctrine or enforceable on anyone but may be a denominational or church requirement if it does not fail any of the following tests.
The following tests are used in this book when the belief or practice is not mentioned in The Bible
Does the Bible infer it is allowable? . If it infers it is allowable you still cannot make doctrine about it but only say it is a possibility and even then it must pass all the other tests below.
Does it express God’s type of Love and build up a person spiritually
Does it give God’s Glory to another. God said He will not give His Glory to another.
Does it promote The Father, The Holy Spirit, Jesus or His Kingdom or someone else
Other sources that may help:
What does the Old Testament say about it
What do the early church documents say about it
Reasons for the four tests
Matters not mentioned in or that are inferred by The Bible are tested according to the following four tests
Does the Bible infer it. The fact The Bible implies it might be allowable does not mean it is allowable and so you need to examine it in the light of the remaining three tests.
Does it express God’s type of Love and build up a person spiritually as all things God tells us are to build us up in some way and encourage us in our Christian life as well as express His Love towards us in some way.
Does it give God’s Glory to another? God said He will not give His Glory to another. You will find people doing ‘miraculous’ things are only able to do it because God does it through them so that they really only have a reflected type Glory and not primary Glory. So God does not allow them to take the credit for what He does.
God keeps us all alive and gives us what we need to do His work, to perform Miracles (supernatural things we cannot do in our own strength but which He does through us) and to live as requires us to live.
To say we do supernatural things such as healing and casting out demons is to say we have it in ourself to be able to do this and we do not., If we say we perform these things in our own right or declare another does them (whether the person is in heaven or on earth) or does them for us, then we are taking Glory from God, which is rightfully His, and it is a form of idolatry.
Does it promote The Father, The Holy Spirit, Jesus or His Kingdom or someone else?
If it promotes someone spiritually apart from God then it is a form of worship which is idolatry so that which is used to promote the person spiritually is wrong and takes Glory from God.
There is a difference between spiritually building up a person and spiritually promoting them to a place of spiritual importance instead of glorifying God who has done the thing used to promote the person spiritually. The person being promoted is just a servant of God and not a God them self to be able to do these supernatural things.
Other sources that may help what to do with matters not mentioned in The Bible:
What does the Old Testament Jewish practice say about it in their commentaries on The Old Testament?
What do the early church documents say about it because they were close to the time these things were written
Early church practice
If a practice was not in the early church then it was not known to them and not part of what Jesus taught them. We also need to look to early church practice to see how things were done. Anything not in early church practice or doctrine is probably developed by man for the purposes of man.
Where prophecy, words of wisdom and words of knowledge are used, their comments are to line up with Biblical principles of guidance and should be tested by a second person so that you have the two witnesses The Bible requires you to have. They should not result in new doctrine or dubious practices.
Early church documents
Early church documents are a good source of what Jesus taught His apostles, especially documents written before 150 AD.
These are second century documents written by people who were taught by apostles or disciples of the apostles and some even knew some of the apostles. Later writers (3rd and 4th centuries) are not as close to the original teachings and developed them often adding current church practice to what they said about the church at that time so are not a good record of early church practice.
Old Testament Practice
In The Temple worship and service we find God’s instructions for worship. These are mentioned in The Bible so need to be observed.
God told us the attitudes we needed to worship Him and how to present our self to Him in worship as well as what was to be in His places of worship. So these need to be observed by any practice or belief.
As an example there were no statues or pictures of people because God desired them to focus on Him and not have these which may have distracted them and even lead to idolatry.
So the early church documents and Temple worship are one guide on what to do with matters not mentioned in The Bible.
The Bible is the guide book and our standard against which all Christian writing and practice must be measured against.
Christian writing cannot add to its inspiration, doctrine, practice or its correct interpretation. Anything contrary to correctly interpreting what The Bible teaches or adds to it in any way are from Satan, guiding men to write it, and are not from God.
What is written must be tested to see if it agrees with what The Bible says or teaches to see if it is in agreement with it and so acceptable.
If what is written does not agree with what The Bible says or teaches or explain it incorrectly then it is not from God who does not disagree with what He has said, either in The Bible or in prophecy.
The Bible says:
2Ti 3:16 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God
Man cannot alter scripture in any way or He is in rebellion against God.
What use can you make of these matters not mentioned in The Bible?
Firstly, they are not of God so cannot be doctrine
If they pass the other tests they may be personal belief or practice but not be a doctrinal belief.
Secondly, they cannot be forced on a person as they are not from God and are only man’s rules or desires
So you cannot enforce their observance being as wrong if they are not done but there may be a sin by the condemning of them or the attitude in which they are performed. So your attitudes need to be examined if you are either condemning people doing them or are performing them as in this attitude may be sin.
There is nothing wrong with tradition if it helps you in your Christian life and does not contravene The Bible or its principles. So if it is not in The Bible then it needs to pass the other tests.
Jesus condemned tradition in religion because it led people astray from the Bible by modifying it in some way and hindered their expression of His Love. This alone is something that should make you wary of tradition and its enforcement if it does not contravene The Bible.
Some tradition is said to be based on the oral tradition passed on by the apostles of things Jesus said or did which were not written down. We have various writing from the first and second century such as the Didache (Instructions and teachings of Jesus they were to pass onto the world) as well as writings by those who knew the apostles or people who knew people who knew the apostles.
Regardless of who pronounces the tradition mankind has not the authority to make them doctrine or enforce them if they do not agree with the principles of The Bible.
If the tradition or practice is not mentioned by these writings or is not a part of generally accepted church practice then it is argued it is man derived and if it disagrees with The Bible or does not pass the other tests then it is not a valid practice or belief and can never be doctrine.
If it was taught and practiced by the apostles then it is acceptable but still may not be doctrine unless it is in The Bible.
If it does not agree with The Bible and its teachings and fails the other tests then it is false teaching and the teacher should not be followed.
What is tradition?
Tradition is a way of doing something thing because it has been done that way for a long time. It is usually like a religious practice that determines how one is to do something in an acceptable way, either for God or the church establishment. Normally it is practiced by some and becomes general practice then is adopted by the established church. Sometimes it is the result of a pronunciation of a head of a denomination who has not right to make such pronouncement.
Often it is legalistic and followed because it seems to do what God desires you to do for Him to respond to something you ask Him to do.
As it is started by someone who believes something needs to be done a certain way to be acceptable it cannot be doctrine as it is not in The Bible but a practice usually to carry out something the bible requires done but does not say how to do it
It does not matter when it was started or by whom. What is important is whether or not it passes the tests for practices that are not mentioned in The Bible or are inferred by it.
As it is not from God it cannot be enforced on anyone and serves no spiritual purpose except possibly to focus the person on a spiritual thing but usually it binds a person to a practice that is not Biblical and may even divert Him from practicing Christianity correctly..
God has not told the person to make the tradition it so it serves no purpose usually except in the heart and attitudes of the person doing the tradition and in this may be found something that might be acceptable to God.
It cannot be doctrine and may not be acceptable as a practice but if it is acceptable, then it is done purely by the free will of the person doing it otherwise sin occurs through forcing another person to do that tradition.
Idolatry occurs when you deliberately place something before the Will of God. This means you desire it more than God and His Will for you. It displaces God in that area of your life so becomes an idol to you.
An idol is any deliberate thought that displace what God desires you to think. It has to be deliberate and not accidental. It does not need to have physical representation or expression, just to have been thought of and accepted.
All sin is deliberate rejection of what God desires for you to do or think.
All sin is a form of idolatry.
If continued in it becomes a mindset and if not repented of can eventually cause you to lose your salvation (Rev 3:5).
Examples of wrong thoughts are unforgiveness, deceitfulness of any kind, deliberately disobeying laws of the land such as speeding, deliberately lying to a government revenue collector etc. (Jesus showed people He took to hell persons that had done these things who were in hell for deliberately disobeying the laws of the land that did not conflict with the laws of God). People do these and think there is nothing wrong with doing them but they are disobeying the laws of the land Jesus said we had to obey.
When a practice or belief that is not in The Bible does not pass the remaining tests then its practice is idolatry.
Authority from a higher authority has to be delegated and in writing. God is the ultimate spiritual authority and is our spiritual leader (1 Pet 2:25). For someone to become a spiritual leader over us it requires a delegation from God and for man to be our spiritual leader of the church on earth there must be a delegation in writing spelling this out and there is none.
Man cannot imply this from scripture. It must be plainly spelt out.
There is a difference between a minister doing what Jesus desires him to do and expressing the authority of Jesus and a minister expressing what he desires done expressing his own authority. Jesus has never delegated the latter brand of authority.
The only clear written delegation we have is to fight Satan and to demonstrate the authority of The Kingdom over the works of Satan. Any other delegation cannot be backed up by The Bible and so comes from man.
Do not confuse leadership of a denomination, which is a legal entity for man’s purposes with that of leadership of the church of Jesus Christ as they are different. Denominations are not part of God’s order in the church and Christ never instituted them or similar bodies. They are from man’s needs to organise and not from God’s needs to organise.
The Mind of God
Isa 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Deu 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
God tells us we cannot understand His mind and how He thinks and that He only tells us what we need to know or are able to comprehend. In other words, how we understand God is in a way we can understand what He is doing and even then it is only what He appears to be doing because we cannot really understand His Character or Mind to be able to say He is actually doing that but only that it appears to us that He is doing that.
In other words God communicates with us in ways we can understand which at times are only a small part of what is actually happening because we either: cannot comprehend the rest or it is not time to tell us yet.
So we actually say anything added to The Bible is not correct and it is all man’s reasonings because if God really wanted us to know about it He would have revealed it to us. It also means the search for ‘secret knowledge or wisdom’ cannot be from God as He does not keep things we need to know from us so they must all be information Satan tells us making us believe it is from God.
So God’s anger is not anger but the impartial expression of His Justice. Predestination is not a Bible doctrine but man’s reasonings on part of what The Bible says and not on what it all says. His Love is defined to us in terms we can understand so when He says He favours Israel it appears to us He is showing partiality but His perfect Love could not allow that or it would be imperfect.
Predestination (that God chooses whom is to be saved before they are born) makes God a hypocrite. He states that He desires all to be saved then does all He can for this to happen. So to say He chooses who goes to heaven or before they are born hell makes Him a hypocrite and God is not a hypocrite which means God chooses who goes to heaven or hell based on the way we respond to Him and not arbitrarily before we are born.
So we need to work within the limited knowledge God has shown us and understand things in the way He has shown them to us so He appears to be human in his Characteristics instead of Divine, showing what appears to be negative emotions when we know these do not exist in God.
There is only good and justice in God and negative emotions do not come from God!
We cannot know the mind of God except as He reveals it to us and to say anything else is deception and assumptions that may or may not be correct.
This is really worrying with modern Bibles where the theologians say that God did not preserve His Bible and man has to figure out the gaps, ignoring the King James Version which claims to be preserved by God and on which all our Christian doctrine was based for 1800 years, and substituting their own words and ideas so that 20% of the King James Version is missing or altered this difference which the result of the reasonings of men and their perspective on Christianity, which is based on three codices which cannot and should not be used for Bible translation.
Either God told us all we needed to know in His Bible or He lied and man has to figure out what He meant to say. In other words a finite man is going to tell an infinite God what He wanted to say to us. (Just like in the Garden of Eden when Satan said to eve “you will be like God knowing good and evil that is what is of God or of Satan”).
These Bible ‘correctors’ have assumed they understood the mind of God and wrote what they believed should be there which of course they can only assume and not really know and which of course was tainted by any errors of their doctrine.
They have changed 20% of what was accepted previously in Bibles to follow their own reasonings which means the modern Bibles are 20% man’s reasoning based on what they guessed was there because they cannot know the mind of God to say it is what He actually said there. No wonder Christianity has gone downhill since these modern versions were introduced.
In conclusion we are to work within what God has shown us to be there and assume nothing else as we cannot know the mind of God to say it is what He is thinking unless The Holy Spirit tells us it is what God is saying.
So how can modern Bible editors say they know what they have written is correct when:
They cannot know the mind of God
They cannot remove the bias of their doctrinal view from it
They cannot know whether the King James Version is wrong because they cannot know the mind of God to be able to say that.
This also applies to people who form doctrines that are not in The Bible or traditions that are not in The Bible.
Can anyone be God?
No! Because man is create and God has always existed before creation.
Can anyone have the attributes of God?
No! Because man is created and finite
Can anyone have the fullness of the Character of God?
No! But man can only show it in part as they are finite and cannot show the infinite Character of God
Can anyone in their own right have the power to do miracles?
No! All human beings are living in nature and so are under its limitations so are not greater than it to be able to alter or control it.
God is infinite and man is finite so never can do things like God, but can only do them in a poor imitation of what God can do. If they do anything Godlike it is because God enables them to do it.
Anyone who is called a god, or credited with doing what God does or having the Authority of God is an idol as it displaces the Glory due to God for the action that was done.
The errors about God are basically to do with making God less than God so that humans can reach the level of spiritual maturity and power God has. In other words they can become godlike through their own efforts. This is a typical New Age theme.
Another error is not to believe He exists or to not commit to a belief He does or does not exist.
Another error is not to believe all the Bible says about Him so that you only believe what you consider is believable about Him.
A greater error is the presumption men can become a god or godlike and so in a sense divine or to attribute divine attributes to people and treat them as you would God. God is never created and cannot be achieved through work or effort. You cannot achieve even a small part of His Nature as man is finite and God is infinite. So man has no chance of ever being infinite.
Another error is to think you can think liked God, which is impossible as He has an infinite mind and we are only finite.
No matter how spiritual or ascended a person or spirit says they are, they have been created so can never be a god.
Errors about who The Father is
One error is to say that The Father in heaven is not the father of Jesus but Joseph is. This implies Jesus is not divine. It also says The Bible has lied about the virgin birth of Jesus (which is the approach of modern Bibles).
Another error is to say that The Father is not a person. This would make Him impersonal and not caring for you. The Father is pure Love toward us and cares for us and cannot do so if He cannot relate to us in some way. Just because He does not have a human body does not mean He has personality.
Another error is to say that He is cruel sending people to hell. How can He be a God of Love if He sends people to hell?
People go to hell because they have rejected God and cannot go to heaven so go to the only place left to go to which is Hell, to be with the god they followed when they rejected Jesus. The Father does not choose to send people to hell but it is the only place they can go to when they are not able to enter heaven.
They have chosen to serve Satan instead of The Father so are sent to Satan’s kingdom when they die, the king they chose to serve on earth.
Another error is to call a man on earth in spiritual ministry, ‘father’. Jesus said we have only one spiritual Father in heaven and not to call anyone else our spiritual father.
Errors about who Jesus is
The Bible says that Jesus:
Was born of a virgin
His Father was The Father in heaven
He taught about The kingdom of God and its requirements
He died on a cross
Rose from the dead
Rules all creation and heaven
The error is not to believe one or more of these and substitute something else in its place.
Another error is to say He is on earth at the moment:
Mar 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
Mat 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
Another error is to say Jesus was created and not God and is evolving into higher being or God so that He is not God but a lesser being. This is the approach of modern Bibles.
Another error is to say He and Satan are brothers also implying Jesus is created. Jesus is God and was not created and cannot be a brother to Satan who was created.
If you believe any of these you are saying The Bible is not correct and that you do not believe all of it. This means you cannot use The Bible as you do not know what else is in error. It also means you are saying Jesus is not God so you cannot be a Christian as you are not follow Jesus but a poor imitation of Him.
So you have no means of salvation, redemption, a hope after death or anything else promised to you in it. You have to find a bible you can believe and a God you can trust as according to you the God who wrote the Bible told lies about Jesus and what He did and accomplished on earth.
So you need to believe everything The Bible says about Jesus or find a Bible and God you can trust.
Errors about who The Holy Spirit is
The Bible says The Holy Spirit:
He is a person
He authorises you to minister in an area
He empowers you to do miracles and similar
He can be related too on a personal Basis so that He can be:
Your guide to what Jesus desires you to do and how to do it
Your teacher about spiritual things
If you do not believe He is God and a person able to relate to you, then you cannot believe Him for whatever else He is to do for you.
So you have a powerless, personally unguided Christianity and cannot demonstrate The Kingdom in the way that Jesus desires you to illustrate it.
Errors about The Trinity
The main error about The Trinity is not to believe it is exists either because:
You do not believe Jesus is God to be a part of it
You do not believe there are three persons in God
You believe there is only one God and one person in God.
I have been in a room with all the members of The Trinity present so I know firsthand they exist.
The Bible states The Father is God, Jesus is God, The Holy Spirit is God that each is an individual person and together they make one God.
Anyone who says they understand this is lying as it beyond man’s comprehension as He cannot understand the nature of God to be able to understand this.
Anyone denying this is stating The Bible is in error so they cannot use it for anything as they do not know what else is in error.
So any belief the Trinity does not exist or is not is or has three distinct persons in it, each of whom is God is an error.
Modern Bibles humanise Jesus which means they cannot believe in or promote The Trinity.
Errors about what a Christian is
A Christian is a person who lives the life Jesus said they should live and not what a church says they should live unless the church actually teaches what Jesus taught. Jesus is their Lord and they obey Him and not other people unless He says too.
A Christian believes (puts their faith in the facts) that:
Jesus is God
He died on The Cross
He was raised from The Dead
Redeemed all who follow Him as their Lord
He is Lord of all Creation and can do what He said He would do for them
And wholeheartedly obey Him as their Lord!
They live the 4 “W’s”:
They completely obey His Will for them
They wholeheartedly do His Work for them
They witness to whom He is and what He has done
They do things the way He desires them done and not according to man’s methods.
In this way, through their non compromised obedience to Jesus, they maintain their side of the salvation relationship and maintain their right to salvation because they fulfill all that God requires of them.
They believe eternal life is the result of a relationship with The Father and Jesus (Jn 17:3) guided by The Holy Spirit (Jn16:13, Rom 8:14) so they do all they can to preserve this relationship and get to know Jesus and The Father more intimately under the guidance of The Holy Spirit.
So a Christian keeps a constant dialogue with The Holy Spirit so that they can be guided by Him to do the Will of Jesus in the way He desires it done.
Errors about salvation fall into three categories
Saying faith alone in God cannot save you and you need to do something
Having a belief that another than god can save you
Believing you can do things that will save you and you do not need God to save you
All are wrong and may lead to your having no actual salvation.
How does The Bible say you are saved?
Eph 2:8 -9 (CEV) You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own. It isn't something you have earned, so there is nothing you can brag about.
So God says in His Bible you cannot save yourself or another or be saved by faith in anyone else than God. Salvation also places us into a correct relationship with God:
Rom 4:3 (ESV) For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness."
Salvation saves us from hell but does not get us into heaven because we still have the defilement of sin that prevents us entering an undefiled heaven. This is why redemption is necessary.
So faith In God alone saves you from hell fire and obedience preserves your salvation but redemption removes the defilement of sin that stops you entering heaven.
Predestination, True or False?
Webster’s dictionary defines predestination as:
PREDESTINA'TION, n. The act of decreeing or foreordaining events; the decree of God by which he hath, from eternity, unchangeably appointed or determined whatever comes to pass. It is used particularly in theology to denote the preordination of men to everlasting happiness or misery.
Predestination is a part of the unchangeable plan of the divine government; or in other words, the unchangeable purpose of an unchangeable God.
In other words: God knows what is going to happen and plans for us things to do that will make our lives what is best by helping u s to do what He has planned for us.
He says we choose salvation or rejection of it so that God does not force us to be saved or go to hell but knowing what we are going to do orders things in a way to help us get to heaven.
The purpose, desires, plans, choices and Will of God must all agree or He is a hypocrite and liar.
There are two main possibilities.
God does not choose who is to be saved before they are born but are saved purely through faith and obedience
God chooses who is to be saved before they are born
In His Bible God states He desires all to be saved and to have a correct knowledge of whom He is and that salvation is a relationship with Jesus and The Father guided by The Holy Spirit. All His purposes in The Bible are directed towards this occurring in a person.
If this is not correct and proposition two is correct then The Bible is full of hypocrisies and lies and you cannot believe anything it says.
Proposition two is based on how some passages from the Bible are interpreted but if it is full of hypocrisies and lies you cannot use it as a basis for proposition two or any proposition including proposition 1 as what passage you use may be incorrect so that you cannot trust this proposition.
For proposition 2 to be correct means that you cannot trust proposition 1 so that The Bible is full of lies and hypocrisies which means you cannot also trust proposition 2.
So proposition 1 must be correct and proposition 2 false for the character of God to be free of lies and hypocrisies and His Bible to reflect His Character.
Susan’s (a friend’s) comment
God in His all knowing omnipresence just HAS the true knowledge of who will turn from their wicked ways and believe on His son Jesus Christ. In this He appears to have a predestination ideal, yet He categorically states in His Word that ALL who turn from their wicked ways and believe WILL be saved. HE is blameless in favouring as HE favours NO man. It seems to us as we see as in a shadow that it is the case of which comes first - the chicken or the egg. Now in creation we know it is the chicken, so we believe that this is true because God created the Heavens and the Earth and in the seven days all that dwells within. Therefore God came first, HE knew all things yet He gave His only begotten Son so that WHOMEVER believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Also none of us are mistakes, He knew us in our mother's womb. the only predestination is that He has the true knowledge of what will be. He gives mercy to whom He chooses to give mercy - in light of Him being LORD, I believe (in my narrow limited thoughts) that He can not dwell in the presence of sin therefore He in His nature cannot keep fellowship with the unrepentant sinner until he / she chooses to come out of the darkness and cry out to the Lord. He can go after them when we pray but dwelling with is different. And He knows again who will turn to Him, but I think He allows us baby steps. He does NOT prevent us at all from doing so. Hope this makes sense. WOW we have so much to learn and how our eyes will be opened when we step into His Kingdom and magnificent presence derobed of our sinful flesh and clothed with new robes forever ( once again these new robes or bodies are sinless, not corrupted and all made possible by the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of all our sins in which WE choose to believe and trust in because He came first and made a way.
Redemption in more detail
Redemption is the process by which something that has been legally removed from you can be restored to you for a payment of some sort as if it had never been taken. It has five requirements in regard to redemption for sin:
God has to do it. (Man sinned so cannot do it)
There must be a corporeal sacrifice (flesh must die)
The sacrifice must be acceptable to God
The sacrifice must have not committed sin to be able to be a sacrifice
The sacrifice must be able to restore to the original that which is legally lost to the original state
Now to deal with each point:
1. God has to do it
Sin is deliberately falling short God God’s requirements in any area. In other words it is deliberate disobedience to something you know God requires you to do. The penalty for sin is death. The offence is against an infinite God so it is infinite in measure and needs an infinite sacrifice, which God alone can personally provide, as He alone is the only infinite thing in the universe.
Anything created or born cannot do it as they are not infinite.
2. There must be a fleshly sacrifice
An animal was killed and this took the place of the death that the person sacrificing it should have had for the sin. The only way God could fulfill this requirements was to be born as a person so He could die as one. This Jesus did and is the reason He had to be born on earth as a person.
Even though He knew what He was going to suffer, Jesus still decided to be born as a human so He could redeem us so that we could be forever with Him in heaven
This shows how much God desires to have you as a friend and spend time with you.
God is complete in Himself and did not need to do this but He loves us so much He did this and it was only for our benefit He did this.
3 The sacrifice must be acceptable to God
God was offering Himself through Jesus so it was acceptable as a sacrifice for the purposes of redemption (dying in our place so that the spiritual punishment of sin were dealt with in our life and we could relate to God, as man originally did, every second of our life and in eternity.) Redemption removed the defilement of sin that prevented us going into an undefiled heaven and so allows us to approach God every second of our life.
4 The sacrifice must be sinless
Animals were sinless not knowing right or wrong which is why God accepted them.
Jesus lived a sinless life so that no one could ever show Him doing anything wrong and so was acceptable to God because He had lived a sinless life. Death was a result of sin and as Jesus died as if He had sinned but He had actually not sinned so the penalty of death was not appropriate and God had to raise Jesus from the dead as He had not deserved to die for sin He did not commit.
God has to follow His own rules and death is only for those who sinned.
5. The sacrifice must be able to restore to the original that which is legally lost to the original state
Because God accepted the sacrifice of Jesus and it met the criteria of being a death in the flesh of a sinless person of infinite capacity, God had no choice but to accept it and restore all, who are the true followers of Jesus, to a relationship with Him now and as well as with Him in heaven after they die.
Thanks be to God for His unfathomable Love to us that caused Him to come to earth and die for us so we could be restored to a personal fulsome relationship with Him.
Redemption a synopsis
Redemption is the act of buying back something that has been lost to another for some legal reason
Sin cause us to have physical and spiritual death (the punishment for sin is spiritual death)
Sin is against an infinite God so has an infinite penalty
An infinite price of redemption needs to be paid and only God can do that because only God alone is infinite
So Jesus, who is God, did on the cross at Calvary because no one else could die for us
This is why no man can spiritually redeem another and that is why no man can have any part in redemption as any part they played would be insignificant anyway as they are finite and the penalty is infinite. Also they are the problem so cannot be used for the cure.
The Bible says all have sinned so that no one can be said to be sinless but God and to say a person, apart from Jesus, is sinless is to call God a liar and make them equivalent to God.
So to say anyone but God redeems or has a part in redemption is not true and to give honour or venerate anyone for doing this is wrong and is idolatry as it is a form of worship which is due to God alone.
A Common error is to believe we are saved at Calvary. Salvation is by faith in God alone and this is separate to what happened at Calvary.
Calvary is to do with redemption and not salvation. Salvation made us able to relate to God but did not remove the defilement of sin so that we could not enter heaven.
Redemption removes the defilement of sin so that we can approach God in heaven every second of the day.
Can you lose your salvation?
Rev 3:5 states:
(CEV) Everyone who wins the victory will wear white clothes. Their names will not be erased from the book of life, and I will tell my Father and his angels that they are my followers.
So these people had eternal life and salvation and had obeyed Christ to the end of their life.
Jesus said to the people in the church of Sardis:
Rev 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Rev 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
They had not pursued their Christian faith and had grown so comfortable they were in danger of losing their salvation so verse 5 is the promise to those who repent and once again obediently follow Jesus as Lord or who have kept their initial faith in Jesus and followed Him.
So if you grow complacent about your Christian faith and do not wholeheartedly follow Jesus you may end up in hell because you do not do what He desires you to do and you do not repent of not doing it.
Jesus showed people many Christians in hell who were lukewarm in their faith or did not follow Him as Lord but led a comfortable Christian lifestyle, knowingly ignoring His requirements of them or not giving up a sin because they liked the sin so much they continually and deliberately disobeyed God in an area.
Satan is a myth and does not exist.
This attitude calls Jesus a liar so cannot be correct or Jesus is a liar and cannot redeem us. Jesus was tempted by Satan and destroyed the works of Satan
Satan does not attack Christians.
The Bible says Satan goes around like an angry (roaring) lion devouring (destroying) whom he can. He does not need to attack non-Christians as he has them already in his kingdom. He needs to attack Christians to get them to belong to his kingdom.
Satan is the brother of Jesus.
Jesus is God while Satan is created so cannot be related to Jesus, who being God was never created. This is a new age belief so cannot be from God but from Satan.
Satan is like God and should be worshiped as God.
Satan is created and cannot be God but pretends to be a god. All he can do is to pretend to be a god in the attempt to replace Jesus. Worship of Satan is idolatry.
Satan is all powerful
Satan only has power because God allows him to have it so God can use Satan for His purposes. Satan appears to do miracles because he knows how to manipulate the physical world not because he has any special power to do them. God does not do evil but must allow Satan to respond to the desires of people to do evil and in this he serves God.
Errors about angels
Angels do not make doctrine or reveal it to people. Only Jesus and The Holy Spirit (through Prophets) did that. Doctrinal revelation in this manner finished by the end of the first century so any angels teaching or showing new doctrine or giving ‘sacred’ writings after that time is from Satan
Worshiping angels by venerating or giving them attributes or power that only God had is also wrong. It is like worshiping saints, giving the one empowered the status of actually being able, in themselves, to do the thing.
Angels bringing scriptures, doctrine, teachings or messages that do not align with The Bible are also from Satan.
Angels are God’s messengers and spiritual warriors, so if they so anything else but bring a message or fight Satan on behalf of Jesus then question who they are from and examine carefully what they teach.
Errors in praying to others than The Father
When you pray to someone else than God to help you obtain what you need you are displacing God as we are told to pray only to The Father. It may also imply they are God as God alone can really provide all your needs.
You ask The Holy Spirit for help in guidance and Jesus in help with the battle with Satan. But our needs are met by The Father and we do not need to ask for these as He promises to meet them if we fulfill the conditions of Matt 6:33
God will not give you what you desire if you pray to another but Satan will give it to you if it is bad for you so it appears the person prayed too provided what you need.
If you ask them to approach God for you then that achieves nothing as they will do is ask god to do His Will as they are in heaven and know better than to tell God what He should be doing.
They cannot provide your need as only The Father can so it is a waste of time praying to them. It is also idolatry by displacing God with another.
There is a danger that you end up making them and idol and approach them rather than God and so end up actually worshiping them because they appear to meet your needs, which is idolatry.
From the visit to heaven of Pastor Sori Park
Jesus first pinpointed whom I should say my prayers to. He said I should first call “Lord in Heaven.” I should say my prayers to God the Father, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. I was guided to the sacred hall by Our Lord and saw a throne for Father God and Jesus on his right but none for Holy Spirit, which made me realize there are different roles and functions in the Trinity. We pray to Father God in the name Of Jesus, the Son of God, then the Father God comes down to the Earth as the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us to answer of our prayer. In Corinthians 13:13, having the Grace of Jesus Christ, love of God the Father, and Communion of Holy Spirit being together with you is the role division of God in the perfect Trinity.
Recently many people pray to Holy Spirit, saying “Help me, Holy Spirit. Guide me, Holy Spirit. Solve it, Holy Spirit.” It is understandable that the history of the Holy Spirit has been more highlighted than ever before thanks to the great work of the Holy Spirit for the final salvation ministry, but it should be reminded once again that the Holy Spirit is a helper and not the “lone” object of worship, praise, and prayer. Being concerned about that, the Holy Spirit has made me write this words. The Holy Spirit is not the object of prayers but He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
We should honor God the Father who gives birth to us, brings us up, guides us, and leads us. We also praise Jesus who bled to save us in appreciation. It is the Holy Spirit that guides all of our minds. By sending the Holy Spirit, He let us know that it is the right thing to honor and appreciate God the Father that allowed it in us.
We pray to The Father for the purposes of The Kingdom ruled by Jesus and then The Holy Spirit, their representative on earth, provides God’s answer on behalf of Jesus and The Father.
Jesus said to pray to The Father and nowhere else in The New Testament are we told to pray to anyone else.
We are to ask for what is necessary to serve Jesus and His Kingdom and have the promise that The Holy Spirit will help us in how to deal with these things when we receive them.
People cannot really give us things as it is The Father that gives us things to serve Jesus with. It is no use praying to people to supply your need and in fact they are placed before The Father and so it is a form of idolatry to deliberately pray to anyone else than The Father.
When these people are prayer too and Satan fulfils the prayer, the person prayed too is given the glory for it and not God. So Glory is taken from God and this is also idolatry.
The Father is waiting to give us every good thing for our life and service of Jesus, so why ask anyone else, including Jesus and The Holy Spirit who said we were to pray only to The Father.
The example of Jesus in Prayer
Jesus always prayed to The Father, because Jesus was not God at that time, but then He told us to pray to The Father and the epistles always point to The Father as the originator of our needs and our blessings.
Joh 11:22 But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you."
Jesus was asked to do something spiritually (raise Lazarus from the dead) but He told Martha to ask The Father to do it and The Father did it through Jesus, which is how The Father appears to work.
Joh 14:13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh 14:14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
Joh 14:15 "If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
Joh 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,
It is to be asked in His Name (for His purposes) to The Father for what we need then The Father will do it.
Joh 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
Whatever we ask The Father (and not Jesus) to do for the purposes of Jesus, The Father will do it.
Joh 16:23 When that time comes, you won't have to ask me about anything. I tell you for certain that the Father will give you whatever you ask for in my name.
Once again Jesus states to ask The Father for His purposes and it will be done.
So the principle seems to be to ask The Father for doing the purposes of The Kingdom (Jesus) and The Father will do it through The Holy Spirit.
So when we pray in the Name of Jesus we are praying for His purposes and not in His authority. However when we cast out demons we are using the Authority of Jesus so we command and not pray in Jesus Name.
We pray to The Father in Jesus’ Name for the purpose of The Kingdom and Jesus
We command demons in Jesus’ Name using His Authority as ruler over all to remove them from The Kingdom and its people.
The Name of Jesus
When you use the ‘Name of Jesus’ you are saying that you are declaring His Will and using the authority He has delegated to you in fighting Satan. In prayer it serves no use as you are saying it is His Will which you should be praying for anyway so that the use of it is redundant.
You do not use the ‘Name of Jesus’ in a prayer unless you know it is His Will and you should not use it then say “nevertheless thy will be done” because you should be praying His Will in the first place.
When you are casting out demons you are using the authority delegated to you by Jesus to do this. It must be used for the purposes of His Kingdom or it will not be acted upon by Jesus as it will not be for His purposes.
It this delegation is not used for the Kingdom of Jesus it can only be used, by default, for the kingdom of Satan.
So if you are not sure you are praying the Will of Jesus then do not declare you are praying in the ‘Name of Jesus’. If you are casting out demons for purposes other than that of The Kingdom of Jesus then you are helping the devil.
The Lord’s Prayer after Calvary
Much was fulfilled at Calvary so we no longer need to ask for it. So it then becomes a cry to The Father for His Kingdom to be restored on earth.
Matt 6:9 …Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Mat 6:13 …For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
In Matt 6:33 God promises to provide all we need if we are obedient and James states that God does not tempt us and at Calvary all our sins were dealt with.
What is Worship
In its essence worship is just declaration by word or action that someone is worthy to follow (obey) or approach to ask favours from (pray too). So when you follow another as your spiritual leader or pray to another you are saying they are worthy to be prayed to, regardless of what is prayed and that is a form of worship.
When you do this you shift your focus from God to them and they become an idol.
Hypocrisy in Worship
People joyfully and wholeheartedly sing:
“We are a people of power
“I will do or go…” e.g. ‘Where he leads me I will follow
Then go home and watch television and pay another to do what they sang about.
They do not do or be what they sing but they will do and feel good because they have sung this.
This is called hypocrisy.
Your words are to say what you mean, whether they are said or sung.
Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
\While the church sings what it does not mean and feels so content they are a good Christian and not a hypocrite it will never do God’s work but be a weak parody of what it should be.
Veneration and Worship
Webster 1828 definitions:
Worship: Chiefly and eminently, the act of paying divine honours to the Supreme Being; or the reverence and homage paid to him in religious exercises, consisting in adoration, confession, prayer, thanksgiving and the like.
Veneration: The highest degree of respect and reverence; respect mingled with some degree of awe; a feeling or sentiment excited by the dignity and superiority of a person, or by the sacredness of his character, and with regard to place, by its consecration to sacred services.
Worship can only be given to God. Veneration is similar but given to a person and not God so is more to do with the person’s character than a divine status such as God has.
The problem is when you start to give the person attributes that only God has or ask them to do the things only God can really do and give the person the thanks and glory that should be to God. Then it becomes worship and they become an idol to you.
Praying to them when we are told only to pray to The Father
Thanking them for healing when we are told God does it through us so that we should not take any credit for it or give another credit for it as it removes God’s Glory
Declaring they play a part in our redemption which Christ alone can do and being given credit for doing this taking Glory from Christ.
In other words, treating the person venerated as if they were Godlike in what they did so they get credit for things only God can do or has doe through them.
Anything or anyone placed before God or given attributes only He has is an idol if this is deliberately done.
Images, statues, saints
Ex 20:4 (BBE) You are not to make an image or picture of anything in heaven or on the earth or in the waters under the earth:
Ex 20:5 (CEV) Don't bow down and worship idols. I am the LORD your God, and I demand all your love. If you reject me, I will punish your families for three or four generations.
In the Old Testament images and statues were not allowed in The Temple and were removed and destroyed when placed in it by godless peoples.
Jesus did not promote them and the early church did not have or use them.
So any image or statue placed in a place where God is worshiped is wrong as God does not want anything in there that takes the focus off Him. If He had accepted them they would have been in The Temple and synagogues. It is to be noted in heaven there are none in the great hall or anywhere else God is worshiped in and heaven is our example in all things.
Any statue placed anywhere else is wrong if it represents God or anything that can be worshiped
Anything that takes your focus off Jesus and that does not promote Him or His Kingdom is an idol.
Statues, images or drawings that are prayed to are idolatrous as they are against the Law of God to have.
Pray is asking someone to do something for you, regardless of what you ask for, when you ask someone to do something for you that God says He does, like meeting your needs, then It is idolatry.
Idolatry occurs when you give credit to someone else or something else other than God for things only God can do like healing, exorcism and special provision for your needs.
Where a person, statues or image of a person is prayed too or given credit for something God alone says He does, then Idolatry occurs.
Ritual serves no spiritual purpose. It is something man has devised because it either keeps order, looks good or helps them focus on the service more. It serves no purpose for salvation or anything to do with it but may have eternal effect by the attitude in which it is carried out. It often occurs when what it does seems to move God in a desired way because people do no understand The provision of God and their relationship to Him.
Any ritual does not draw you closer to God as it emphasises what man does and not what God does and may even distract you from Him so it is not conducive to true worship.
Ritual also is used to emphasise the fact one person is more important than another by showcasing them in the ritual.
Practices of a denomination
These are usually not found in the Bible as a requirement to be obeyed. They are usually man originated so cannot be doctrine or obligatory for obedience so that not doing them is not a sin.
They may be the requirement of a denomination or a practice that helps a person focus their faith. They moment they become more than just a help Idolatry usually occurs where the practice of it becomes more important than the help it does to a person’s faith.
They must pass the test for non-Biblical matters to be acceptable as a practice and even then cannot be enforced for the purposes of maintaining your salvation or redemption.
Sacraments and similar
A sacrament is an action that supposedly gives special Grace additional to what God has already given you. This implies God has not given you all the Grace you need which means He cannot be God or He would have given you all you needed. It also implies Matt 6:33c is a lie.
Another problem is that the heart attitude of the person receiving the sacrament is not important. This means you can be blessed by God even if disobedient and unrepentant.
Sacraments and similar are supposed to do things in the spiritual and even change the Will of God. This means they have supernatural effect as a result of physical action and attitude toward the sacrament.
So we control what happens and not God. This is impossible as nothing happens without God allowing or causing it. So in reality, a sacrament or similar does nothing because God does not need it to do what He desires to do for you. It is man trying to change what God is doing without the permission of God so is ineffectual, however Satan will do something if it suits his purposes and you will think God did it.
The Didache (The teachings of The apostles circa 100 AD) states the following
CHAPTER 7 : reborn as a Christian : baptism
7:1 Concerning baptism, baptize in this way : having first rehearsed all these things, baptize in the Name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit, in living water.
7:2 But, if you have no running water, baptize in other water, and if you cannot in cold, then in warm.
7:3 But if you have neither, pour water three times on the head in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
7:4 And before the baptism, let the baptizer and him who is to be baptized fast, and any others who are able. And you must bid him who is to be baptized to fast one or two days before.
Baptism was to be by immersion in running water and if that was not available then in other water and if that was not available, only then was it to be by pouring water on a person three times. Sprinkling was not even considered.
So a prime requirement of baptism is to immerse the person fully where it is possible. Some people immersed the person three times, once for each person of The Trinity but that does not seem to be a thing the apostles taught.
The main requirement for baptism was a confession, which is surprisingly left out of many modern Bibles so that this requirements is not stated as being necessary for Christian baptism. It seems strange to leave it out when you see what it is.
Act 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Why would modern Bibles leave out verse 37 stating the fact it is necessary to believe in Christ if you wanted to be baptised in His Name.
This would mean children and non-Christians could be baptised.
Sometimes exorcism was carried out before the baptism to remove anything Satan had in the person from their past.
It is to be noted that nothing special was attributed to baptism and that it was not a special ceremony but a witness that the person belonged to Jesus.
The only other requirement was to be without sin at that time and fast for a day or two before the actual baptism.
Baptism has been said to be the act of a good conscience toward God (being willing to identify yourself with Him in public) and a representation of the resurrection we too will have when we die.
Confirmation is a ceremony man has made to try and imitate the filling of The Holy Spirit in a Christian. It can only occur to a Christian and so children who are confirmed are usually not filled with The Spirit as they are usually not Christians in spite of being baptised and what any Church says happens at baptism.
The ceremony has no meaning and no spiritual effect and all that any Church says happens as a result of it is the imaginations of the men who made up the ceremony.
There is nothing in The Bible like it and God has not given man the authority to control The Spirit this way or make a ceremony like they have made it to be.
So confirmation is a waste of time but does make a good ceremony like many other man made useless ceremonies churches have developed.
Having said that, at times God has honoured the faith of the person being confirmed and The Spirit has fallen on them, but not very often.
The Didache (the teachings of the apostles) written near 100AD states the following about The Communion Celebration.
CHAPTER 9 : Eucharistic consecration
9:1 Now regarding the Eucharist, give thanks in this way :
9:2 First concerning the cup :
"We thank You, our Father,
for the holy vine of David Your servant,
which You made known to us through Jesus Your servant.
To You belongs the glory forever."
9:3 And concerning the broken bread :
We thank You, our Father,
for the life and knowledge which You made
known to us through Jesus Your servant.
To You belongs the glory for ever."
9:4 As this broken bread was scattered over the mountains, and was brought together to become one, so let Your church be gathered together from the ends of the earth into Your Kingdom, for the glory and the power are Yours through Jesus Christ forever.
9:5 But let none eat or drink of your Eucharist except those who have been baptized in the Name of the Lord. For concerning this did the Lord say : “Give not what is holy to dogs.”
CHAPTER 10 : thanksgiving after communion
10:1 But after you are satisfied with food, give thanks in this way :
10:2 We give thanks to You, O Holy Father, for Your Holy Name which You made to live in our hearts, and for the knowledge, the faith and the immortality which You did made known to us through Jesus Your servant. To You belongs the glory for ever.
10:3 You, Lord Almighty, did create all things through Your Name, and did give food and drink to men for their enjoyment, that they might give thanks to You, but us have You blessed with spiritual food, drink and eternal light through Your servant.
10:4 Above all we give thanks to You because You are mighty. Yours is the glory for ever.
10:5 Remember, Lord, to deliver Your church from all evil and to make it perfect in Your love, and gather it together from the four winds, holy in Your kingdom which You have prepared for it. For Yours are the power and the glory for ever.
10:6 Let grace come and let this world pass away. Hosannah to the God of David. If any man be holy, let him come ! If any man be not, let him repent. Marana tha ! Amen.
10:7 But permit the prophets to hold the eucharist as they see fit.
As it can be seen it is purely a remembrance having no other significance and to give it any special properties is something man has devised as Jesus did not teach that it was anything special to His apostles and disciples.
Wim van den Dungen Antwerp, 2013 in his excellent commentary on the Didache states the following:
In this context it may be interesting to note that :
it is explicitly mentioned that the prayers over the Eucharistic elements are part of the ritual of thanksgiving and the short embolism or prayer for unity (9:4) does not end with "Amen" as does 10:6, suggesting that 9 & 10 form a compositional unity ;
The cup is first consecrated, not the bread ;
Nowhere is the divinity of Jesus Christ mentioned during the Offertory or the Eucharistic Prayer;
Jesus is only spoken of as "Christ" over the bread, not over the cup;
the offertory is immediately followed by a short warning (9:5) based on a logion of Jesus not to approach the altar if unbaptised;
communion happens before thanksgiving ;
Thanksgiving does not ask for the consecration of the fully prepared eucharistic elements for they are no longer present. Are they already "at work" in the participants, vivifying their consciousness so that they are able to say thanks "in the Spirit" by raising their voices and praying together 10:2-6 ?
Thanksgiving is fully focused on God the Holy Father and Jesus is not mentioned as Christ, nor as Son, but only as a servant through whom the Holy Name of the Father lives in our heart ;
The whole movement of this thanksgiving aims at the end of things. It finds its spiritual optimum not in paschal themes and in the indwelling of Christ as Blood & Body but in the anticipation of the return of Jesus which happens when the work of this servant of God is accomplished everywhere, when all has become holy because every sinner has repented, the earth being one whole and thus His Kingdom ;
Emphasis is put on what happens "in the Spirit" for the prophets may hold the Eucharist as they seem fit. The form of the Eucharist remains open.
So it can be seen that modern Christianity has completely lost the original Eucharist celebration and substituted it with one that does not contain anything of the original celebration as taught to the people by the apostles.
So to make anything else of it than just a celebration of what God has promised and of Thanksgiving to The Father is to give the Eucharist a meaning that God does.
What cup was drunk by Jesus?
There were four cups in the Passover meal. Jesus did not drink the one we all celebrate which was the fourth cup – the cup of completion which is why He said He could not drink of it until He had died and was in heaven after completing the redemption God had planned for Him to do.
The four cups are as follows:
The first cup is called Sanctification (I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians),
The second is Blessing (I will free you from being slaves to them),
The third is Redemption (I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgment) and the fourth is Acceptance (I will take you as my people and I will be your God.)
The fourth cup represented our acceptance by God through the death of Jesus so had to be carried out before Jesus could drink it.
So which of the four cups do we drink at communion? And what does our communion actually remember if it is not the fourth cup of the completion of our redemption? Remember that this was the cup Jesus said He could not drink until after He had died.
Perhaps the church needs to rethink its attitude to communion and how it celebrates it.
Any celebration of any type that says Christ sacrifice is repeated again implies His death at Calvary was not complete and has to be repeated on a continual basis.
The Bible said Christ died once for all and that this sacrifice was complete and sufficient for all who ever lived. The requirement being He is your Lord and you believe He died at Calvary and redeemed you.
So to say He has to die more than once or the celebration has Him dying as a part of it is to say He needed to die more than once and cannot be God for this to be true because as infinite God He only needed to die once.
If he is not God then He cannot be redeemer so the Communion implying He dies again cannot be held as He cannot be God if He has to die again so that Redemption cannot have occurred in the first place and cannot occur any time He is the one supposedly dying which means they are celebrating something that does not exist.
The Bible says
Mar 2:7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
As you can see The Bible clearly teaches only God can forgive sins.
The three main errors to do with forgiveness of sin are:
Saying another entity than God can forgive your sins either themselves or on behalf of God.
Believing you need to do something to remove the punishment and defilement of sin
Believing there are different levels of sin and you do not have to confess small ones and that small ones will not send you to hell.
Sin is deliberately not doing something God requires you to do and is deliberate rebellion against God. Any person who rebels against a King (which God is of his Kingdom) is imprisoned and executed as a traitor.
Mat 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mat 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
As the offence is against God, He alone can forgive or remit it. He has not delegated the forgiveness of sins to mankind. This means no man can forgive your sins and deal with the punishment and defilement of them. If this was the case Jesus would not have had to die and Calvary would be unnecessary.
As Jesus has met all the requirements of God to have the punishment for our sins dealt with we do not need to do anything to deal with them. Penance is not scriptural.
A person cannot forgive you the spiritual consequences of your sins as they are not the one spiritually offended and they cannot declare God has forgiven your sins forgiven unless they know what your heart attitude is to the repentance of the sins committed. They can forgive your actions against you which is not the same as forgiveness of sin.
This is why reconciliation is so important in t he eyes of God as the refusal to reconcile means there is unforgiveness towards the person who offended you.
Because God has been offended you can do nothing that He can accept to have your sins forgiven that Jesus has not already done ar Calvary. The only sacrifice He accepts for your sins to be dealt with is the one Jesus made at Calvary.
God also says that every sin is rebellion and there are no degrees of sin and their consequence to your eternal fate.
We are told that any sin makes you guilty of breaking God’s Law and of eternal punishment.
James 2:10(ERV) You might follow all of God's law. But if you fail to obey only one command, you are guilty of breaking all the commands in that law.
People try to use the following verse to say you can forgive the sin that another has committed against God but this contradicts what Jesus said so cannot refer to the forgiveness of sin that God alone can do.
Joh 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
To quote Clarke:
God alone can forgive sins; and it would not only be blasphemous, but grossly absurd, to say that any creature could remit the guilt of a transgression which had been committed against the Creator.
This claiming to be able forgive sins takes Glory from God and is a form of idolatry in that they put themselves in the place of God for the person to obey (obedience is a form of worship)
Note: The unwillingness to be reconciled to another shows that you have not forgiven them. Unless you risk your life by trying to reconcile to another then you must reconcile and trust God for what happens.
James 5:16 ‘sin’ or ‘faults’
There is a principle, that the person you have offended is the one who must forgive you so you must go to them for forgiveness and try and reconcile to them. This is why God places so much emphasis on reconciliation being necessary before He will hear your prayers.
If they do not want to be reconciled, that is their problem, but you have done what God requires you to do so you can approach God again and be heard by Him.
So for sins against God, only He alone can forgive you and no other can forgive you on his behalf. You were forgiven at Calvary for all your sins against Him He would not ask you to confess them again either to him or to anyone else as you do not need to do this. So the following reading of James 5:16 is incorrect when it refers to sins against God and in fact only mentions other people and not God:
Jas 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Note “one another” for the purposes of reconciliation with that person.
The verse is correct when you offend a person as they have to forgive you so you need to go to them and apologise and admit your wrong to them and be reconciled to them through this. Even then, only the offended person can forgive you and no one else. But they cannot deal with the spiritual penalty for the offence.
So there is no way a person can forgive you your sin committed either against God or fellow mankind. The person offended has too and God has already forgiven you your sins.
The correct reading of James 5:16 is as follows when it refers to sins against God as we need to admit our faults to Him so that He can deal with them and help us remove them. The correction of the fault/weakness also stops you sinning in that area and the weakness may be greater in area than an individual sin committed.
(JV) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
This is so you can obtain any deliverance you need in that area or counseling to be shown any truths you need to know to be set free. And then you only need to admit your weakness (fault) and not your sins committed as a result of the weakness.
The prayer of the righteous man in this context is for deliverance or for you to understand what you need too and possibly for any healing you need, emotional or physical, and so it primarily will either be a word of command in Jesus’ Name to remove demons or heal or a prayer for you to understand the truths you need to be free from this weakness.
Absolution for sins
Websters 1828 Dictionary states:
ABSOLU'TION, n. In the civil law, an acquittal or sentence of a judge declaring an accused person innocent. In the canon law, a remission of sins pronounced by a priest in favor of a penitent. Among protestants, a sentence by which an excommunicated person is released from his liability to punishment.
God is the judge of sin and its consequences and He alone can declare a person absolved from the consequences of sin. Through Redemption He removed the spiritual consequences of sin so that absolution is no longer necessary as it may have been in the Old Testament Sacrificial system.
All a person can say is that God has said you are declared forgiven of all the spiritual consequence of sin at Calvary and there God remitted all your sin.
No one has a right to declare they are remitting the sin did of another, in defiling them and preventing them from going to heaven and relating to God on a continual basis, or absolving them from the consequences and guilt of sin. This negates the effect of Calvary and says they are god or know better than God about the consequences of sin and Calvary.
That person is replacing God and doing things already done by God which do not need to be done again unless they wrongly believe the redemption at Calvary Jesus obtained for us was not complete, not covering every sin that will ever happen.
Jesus is God so the effects of the Redemption obtained by us at Calvary is eternal and covering everyone that has, is and will live so that nothing further needs to be done by us for our sins, except to repent and try wholeheartedly not to do them again.
Webster’s 1828 dictionary states:
1. The suffering, labor or pain to which a person voluntarily subjects himself, or which is imposed on him by authority as a punishment for his faults, or as an expression of penitence; such as fasting, flagellation, wearing chains, &c. Penance is one of the seven sacraments of the Romish church.
Repentance is necessary to maintain salvation and the admission of a sin helps you deal with it and any faults you have that you need help with but it is not the same as doing penance for sin.
The first part of the definition states it is a person voluntarily punishing them self or doing a punishment an authority has imposed on him as a punishment for their faults (read sin).
There is a problem with this as it implies we need to do something to obtain forgiveness for our sins and that the work of Redemption was not complete as we still have to do something to obtain the forgiveness that Christ obtained for us at Calvary.
This would make God a liar by saying that the work of Calvary was not finished but on a work in progress requiring us to do something further.
The person authoring the punishment has taken the place of God and is asking something God does not ask. This means it is not sanctioned by God and so is not necessary except for the purposes of man and does nothing to deal in any way with the spiritual consequences of sin (which Christ fully dealt with at Calvary) or in regard to our being forgiven for sin (which was complete through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross).
So it is obvious Penance is not of God but of man.
Why people go there
People go to hell because they reject Jesus as their Lord (king) and end up with Satan as their King
So when they die they go to the kingdom of the king they were following at the time of their death.
God sends them to hell because they chose to follow Satan not because He is punishing them
Hell was not made for people but for demons
It is the only place people can go too when they die if they reject Jesus as they cannot go to heaven
God has to allow us our free will choices and cannot go against them
So if we choose to follow Satan he has to send us to Satan when we die
He is Love and in this is His love seen that He will not go against our choice of eternal fate as much as it may sadden Him to send them to hell.
What do people do to go to hell?
You go to hell because you deliberately sin and like the sin so much you do not want to give it up.
There are three main reasons people go to Hell
They do not accept the Lordship of Jesus in an area or in their total life so deliberately reject Him and His Will for them and do not obey Him.
The will not forgive another. Not wanting to reconcile to another is a result of an attitude of unforgiveness.
They are not willing to give up a sin and repent of it and follow what God requires of them.
These all cause you to be taken out of The Kingdom of God and the protection of Jesus so that you belong to Satan’s kingdom and are at his mercy until you repent. If you do not repent when you die you go to hell to be with the king you are under, Satan.
Other places to go to when you die
Some religions believe you do not go straight to heaven or hell but that you to other places than these two places.
Purgatory is an example of a place that does not exist.
Jesus has taken people to heaven and hell but never purgatory and has told them it is a lie. However Satan can create places and people mistakenly thought the Purgatory they had been taken too was made by God.
God says you die and are judged and that there is no time difference between dying and judgment so that there is no time to insert a place like purgatory in between death and judgment.
Others believe in a place like heaven but not the heaven Jesus spoke about so that their concept of what heaven is, is flawed and incorrect.
Other do not believe in hell, even though Jesus spoke more about it than heaven, because they believe God is Love and would not send people to hell.
God does not send them to hell. They have rejected God and so belong to the kingdom of Satan and go to be with him when they die. His kingdom of course, is hell. Besides, these people have rejected Jesus so cannot go to his kingdom and the only other place left for them is hell.
Some people do not believe in Satan or that he can harm or attack Christians. If this was the case then why did Jesus give authority over Satan to destroy his works and remove him from Christians and their things? That has never been taken away from us and was still practiced 450 years after Jesus died. In fact those who believe Jesus is God will fight Satan and destroy his works to show they belong to Jesus (Mark 16:17-18).
To say there are other places than heaven or hell to go to after you die or says Satan is not real or cannot harm Christians calls the Bible and Jesus a liar so they cannot be correct.
The Bible says we die and are then judged for our life and go either to heaven or hell. There is no second chance. No way to come back and have another go at successfully living in the way Christ required you to live.
It is appointed by God for a person to die then leave earth to face God and then to then be judged.
Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father. He alone can bless us. All a person can do is ask The Father to Bless a person. We are only stewards of what He has given us so we cannot give to another what we are stewards of without the permission of God. If God wants to bless someone through you He will give you what you need to do this and tell you what to do to bless them.
To ask God to bless a person does not usually mean they will be blessed. If it is in accordance with His will they will be blessed and remember we are to ask only things in accordance with His Will. Besides, if the person needed the blessing The Father would have given it to them anyway. The father will not give something to a person that will hurt them in any way and has promised to provide the need of His faithful citizens (Matt 6:33).
A person cannot bless another in their own right as they cannot offer that person anything unless God tells them to give it to that person as God is owner of all things and they are only steward of what they have been trusted with and must ask God what to do with what they have.
Of course sin is the only thing we can offer to another that God does not provide.
To bless someone in your name (authority) saying you are the source of the blessing is wrong and may even be idolatry giving yourself credit due to God.
In conclusion you can only bless a person when God tells you to in the way He tells you too. He may give you something to bless them with or do it Himself. Whatever happens, you must ask Him first about it so it will be done in accordance with His Will. Even then The Father will only give what they need and which is good for them to have.
It does not need to be said that you cannot pay another to bless you as that person has no right to do so unless God tells them too in which case you do not need to pay them to bless you.
If people were led by The Holy Spirit there would be no theological differences or denominations and all would be taught the same doctrine and believe the same doctrine.
The fact people take pride in knowledge is the reason they must look for new things to declare about God and the practice of worship and serving Him.
If a person is satisfied with what God tells them then they will not look for new things that are not mentioned or at times even implied by The Bible such a s a completely new Greek text used in modern version's (two of which have been proven to be forgeries).
God said He would tell us all we needed to know in Duet 29:29 and so we do not need to look for secret things or new ways of interpreting or writing The Bible.
In heaven all Christians are led by The Holy Spirit but on earth they are not so Satan has a field day dividing the Body of Christ and cause dissensions and rejection amongst it because others ‘believe’ differently according to the denomination and so are ‘wrong’ in their belief.
Do the gifts, and the practice of healing and exorcism (deliverance) still apply to today?
The gifts are given by The Spirit and God says He will never remove them once given:
Rom 11:29 (CEV) God doesn't take back the gifts he has given or forget about the people he has chosen.
Nowhere in The Bible has God stated the gifts are no longer being given, have been withdrawn or no longer apply and as He is the person authorised to give them He is the only one that can stop them. Man cannot do this or make any Biblical verse say this because man does not has the authority to do this and God has not written anywhere in His Bible to withdraw or stop them to definitely say these now longer are available for people to use.
In regard to deliverance and healing: These are delegated in writing by Jesus in Mark 16:17-18:
Mark 16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Jesus alone can remove this delegation by writing that it no longer applies. Man cannot make any Bible verse say that they no longer apply to current days as they do not have the spiritual authority to remove these or interpret a Bible verse in such a way. Jesus has nowhere written that these signs no longer apply.
The delegation is in writing so the removal of this delegation must be in writing.
Jesus said that those who would believe He was God would do these things out of their faith in Him. Doing these things would be a sign that they were His follower, so to stop doing these things removes one of the major marks of being His follower as well removes the demonstration of the authority of His Kingdom over that of Satan and its works.
The gifts were for maturing the church and to remove them stops them being used by God to mature His people. Prophecy was for guiding the church so to remove this removes the guidance of God through these people.
I cannot imagine God doing that so it has to be Satan who has caused people to believe they no longer apply and stop them harming his kingdom. God would not stop people using what He had given Jesus to fight Satan and mature His people.
People say you are his disciple by the demonstration of obedience to His will and Laws:
Luk 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
However, following a person does not state He is God. Just that He is worth following so that any good religious leader could be followed. It is only as we demonstrate the delegated authority of Jesus, expressed in the gifts, signs and wonders and deliverance from Satan and His plans that we show Jesus is God.
If the church believed Satan was a danger to it and that hell was a reality for Christians, they would not declare exorcism and spiritual warfare past tense. But not warning of Satan and hell and not fighting spiritual warfare against Satan and his plans and not doing healing they give nothing of value to people as a reason to follow Jesus.
If the church believed gifts and signs and wonders were of God they would use them.
The denial of gifts and sins and wonders is called Cessationism and it was a masterstroke of Satan designed to cripple the church in its fight against him and he has succeeded.
It all comes down to delegations and whom you believe Jesus is as well as what you believe of The Bible and what it says..
As the gifts and the delegation are from a King, Jesus, and belongs to His Kingdom, He alone can give these things, say when they are to cease operating or when they are no longer to be given. It must be in writing also. Jesus has not written in The Bible that the gifts and the delegation has ceased being given so no longer operate. Man does not have the authority to give or cease the operations of these gifts as He is only a citizen of The Kingdom and not its King and has no right to declare what people will receive from The Kingdom or how long these things are to operate for.
Man also cannot make verses say that the gifts and delegation no longer apply as that is only man’s interpretation and not a declaration of The King doing this.
The argument that these were only for Jesus and the apostle fails a the early church practiced them well after the last disciple of the apostles had died. And they were practiced well into the middle ages in some areas.
Cessationists must show that Jesus has in writing removed the delegation and ceased the gifts or that they have the authority to interpret scripture to imply this. Given The Holy Spirit is the interpreter of scripture and nowhere has God given man the delegation to interpret scripture it is doubtful that The Holy Spirit would go against God and declare the delegation finished and gifts to have ceased.
If the Cessationists are correct then God asks us to do the same things as the apostles without their gifts and delegations and also to preach in power and might and not just in words as the apostles did. This would be a loveless hypocritical God asking us to do His work without the tools Jesus and the apostles had.
The things that set Christianity apart from the pagan religions were the gifts and the delegation over Satan. Without these, evangelism is just words describing a God you cannot prove but only talk about and a philosophy that is matched by other religions. In otherwords, Christianity has nothing really to offer that other religions cannot offer when you cannot show Jesus is God and that His Kingdom rules over all the others through demonstrating the gifts and the delegation you have over the demons in the other religions.
Also, unless you show there are demons by defeating their works you cannot really preach Satan and hell as you have no proof they exist. It also means that people do not need Jesus to escape these things.
As the church has rejected the gifts and their delegations from Jesus, they have not preached hell and Satan as they should so that people see no need or reason to follow Jesus. Satan has won the battle in this until the church realises its need of the gifts and the proper use of the delegation from Jesus and once again demonstrates the authority of The Kingdom over Satan so that it can preach Jesus and their need of Him to escape hell and defeat Satan.
Division of service in The Church
Act 6:1 Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution.
Act 6:2 And the twelve summoned the full number of the disciples and said, "It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables.
Act 6:3 Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty.
Act 6:4 But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word."
There was a principle set up in the very early church. The role of the minister was to minister spiritually to the people and the role of the deaconate was to administer the church.
Satan has managed to have the minister do it all so they cannot spend the time they could spiritually ministering to their members but are bogged down in administrative duties.
The minister and elders deal with the spiritual problems of the church and the deacons with the daily running of the church. That is the pattern in the early New Testament and nowhere else in the New Testament was it changed.
When ministers are referred to in the New Testament it is always talking about spiritual responsibilities and not administrative responsibilities. This is how a church should function according to the apostles.
The Didache (written about 100 AD and representing the teaching of the apostles as taught to them by Jesus) states the following:
15:1 Therefore, appoint for yourselves bishops and deacons worthy of the Lord, meek men, disinterested in money, truthful and approved, for they too will fulfil among you the services of prophets and teachers.
15:2 Do not despise them, for they are your honourable men, together with the prophets and the teachers.
Note there is only two classes of orders in a church:
Those who minister
Those who serve in administration so only two classes are mentioned here.
When you read The Didache you do not have a church hierarchy. The only use for a church hierarchy is denominational order as in the assemblies of The Body The Holy Spirit leads and appoints who is to be in charge that day to keep order
This was a practice started to be preached in the second century and was not practiced by the apostles and disciples. God said to be fruitful and multiply on the earth which cannot be done if you are celibate. There are those who are required to be celibate to be in ministry but that is not from God being the requirements of an organisation/denomination. So if you are called to be celibate then no one can condemn you. But if an organisation has demanded celibacy and you are not called to be celibate then you are in error.
This is based on a heathen practice and defeats the purpose of going into the world to evangelise and defeat the works of Satan by hiding from it. This defeats the objective of Jesus to have His church go into the world and plunder the people from the kingdom of Satan.
Before we look at errors about The Kingdom of God we need to define what it is.
A kingdom is defined as the area of a king’s influence. So the Kingdom of God is where God’s influence is, which is everywhere. However its visibility on earth is limited to its citizens and the way they express The Kingdom of God.
Satan is god of this earth and must hide all signs of The Kingdom so people will not see its manifestation on earth. He cannot hide the physical Kingdom of God as it is not on earth so he has to hide its expression which is why He has convinced the church that:
Miracles are only for the early church and do not occur to say”The delegation to cast him out is no longer available to Christians
Stop any manifestation of the evidence of The Kingdom, such as prophecy and spiritual gifts so that people will not hear The Holy Spirit teaching them about The Kingdom
Corrupt The true Bible so people will believe the doctrinal errors he desires to promote so they will not understand who Jesus really is and what His Kingdom really is.
Hide who he really is and promote himself as equal or greater than Jesus and so should be worshiped and followed.
This he has done successfully.
Who is a citizen of The Kingdom of God?
Those who are led by The Holy Spirit and guided by Him in all the do as they are the children of God (Rom 8:17)which is a requirement to be citizen of God.
So it is not a denomination or churches that expresses The Kingdom of God but the citizens who belong to it. Jesus said His Kingdom was not on earth so a building or organisation cannot represent it unless it is Biblical in all it does.
A citizen will also express the Character of God as found in the fruit of The Spirit and The Law of love and will do the work of God.
The work of God is found in Is 61:1-2, to restore people to The Kingdom of God and wholeness
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
Isa 61:2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;
Isa 61:3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.
It is also found in Is 58:6-8, the healing and restoration to wholeness of people:
Isa 58:6 "Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?
Isa 58:7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
Isa 58:8 Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the
And in summary we have what Jesus said you would do if you were His Citizen:
If you believe in whom Jesus is He said you would:
Do deliverance (cast out demons)
Fight His battles (Spiritual warfare)
Encourage and support each other emotionally, physically, spiritually, mentally and financially
Defend His Name, morals and things of His Kingdom
Represent The Kingdom
Teach The Kingdom
Love The Kingdom and serve it in all else you do
In fact a sign that you believe who He is, is the casting out of demons and healing the sick (Mark 16:17-18).
So if you are not doing any of these or are not led in all you do by The Holy Spirit you have better make certain you are a citizen and not a comfortable Christian and learn how to be led by The Holy Spirit so that you will do the things Jesus expects of you to do.
So what is the error in regard to The Kingdom of God?
To believe it can be found in anything else than its citizens and that is expression on earth is found in other things or people other than its citizen, Jesus and angels.
To believe The Kingdom of God is now and we are living in it.
And of course the main error of people is to believe they are a citizen when they are not doing what Jesus requires them to do to be a citizen, being led by The Holy Spirit in all they do.
Before Darwin published his theory of evolution seven scientists had shown it was impossible. There work was ignored.
Evolution is impossible and trying and believe in it and The Bible cannot be done as evolution says God lied in His Bible so cannot be believed about creation and The Bible says that evolution is incorrect.
This means you cannot use any part of The Bible because God may have lied in that part. So if you believe in evolution you are stuck with a God who lies and a Bible you cannot use because you do not know where else in it He lied.
It is to be noted that even evolutionists no longer believe in evolution as it was originally formulated and now have to resort to incredible coincidences to maintain their rejection of God as a creator, ignoring all the scientific evidence that the earth cannot be more than 100 000 years old so that evolution is impossible.
Marriage and Sex
In the beginning God created a man and a woman and married them. If He wanted same sex marriage He would have created two men or two women. But He did not.
It is obvious God does not desire same sex marriage or He would have created it as well as heterosexual marriage. But He chose not too. So there is no Biblical basis for same sex marriage. God even condemns same sex relationships:
Ex 20:13(BBE) And if a man has sex relations with a man, the two of them have done a disgusting thing: let them be put to death; their blood will be on them.
This punishment God has declared on homosexuals and lesbians is a reason they have aids and similar. Their blood destroys them through the infection in it. The life of the flesh is in the blood and their blood is damaged by their wrong sexual activity.
God’s natural order for marriage and sex is a male and a female and not two people of the same sex. Men and women has different character that represent a different part of God’s Character and only in same sex marriage is the Character of God found in its completeness. Same sex marriage dos not represent the Character of God but only one half of it.
This difference in character that men and women have is given by God to enable them to fulfill the roles He has given each sex, which are not the same. It is what gives us our maleness and femaleness.- Our masculinity and femininity. If God did not need these different roles then He would not have needed to make two different sexes.
If people reject this then tell them to argue with God as you are just telling them what He said. You cannot judge them as you are not their judge but can only in humility point them to what God says about the subject.
So never state this is your opinion but God’s and you are just telling them what He said.
Of course it is your opinion but that is not the basis you are using to condemn the activity.
Webster defines oaths as follows
A solemn affirmation or ance and renounces his favor if the declaration is false, or if the declaration is a promise, the person invokes the vengeance of God if he should fail to fulfill it. A false oath is called perjury.
Mat 5:33 "Again you have heard that it was said to the ancients, 'You shall not swear falsely, but you shall pay your oaths to the Lord.'
Mat 5:34 "But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God's throne;
Jas 5:12 But above all, my brothers, do not swear, neither by heaven nor the earth, nor any other oath. But let your "Yes," be "Yes," and your "No," "No," so that you may not fall into hypocrisy.
So it can be seen that you cannot call God as your witness to verify what you are saying because what you are saying should always be the truth so does not need a witness to verify it.
Remember the warning of Jesus:
Mat 12:36 But I say to you, that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
Mat 12:37 For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned."
Isa 58:3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
Isa 58:4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
Isa 58:5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Isa 58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Isa 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Isa 58:9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
Isa 58:10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
Isa 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Isa 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
The Jews were fasting the traditional ways that the heathen used to approach God, denying them self:
Making personal sacrifices.
God said this was not what He wanted.
He wanted them to show His Love and help others in need and by the self-sacrifice this would require perform the fast He desired them to perform.
God clearly showed that fasting the way the world has been aught to by Satan is not acceptable to Him. But the denying of self (fasting) in your loving service to others is what He desires.
If you fast the way the world says to fast you glorify yourself. If you fast the way God says too - in the service of others - you glorify God. This passes the tests but the fasting for selfish purposes does not.
You do not need to fast to approach God as His presence is in you.
Note: Fasting to lose unnecessary weight is designed to bring the body more into what God desires it to be and so glorifies Him.
What is religion?
Religion is a way of belief that uses man’s designed methods, rituals and practices to meet the requirements of God. It is usually a tradition or man designed and not a Biblically authorised practice.
It uses these religious things because they do not believe that faith in what God has done is sufficient to meet the requirements of God that they need to do something because God needs to be appeased in some way for them to be acceptable.
Religion occurs because of an incorrect understanding of whom God is and their relationship with God.
They may even have multiple Gods but may not necessarily call them gods but treat them as one and give them attributes and powers only God has. At times these gods are people who have been given the same status as a god and the same roles as God.
Their salvation usually involves ritual and not pure faith and they may use lesser gods to reach the main God and pray to these lesser gods for them to do this.
There is usually a control over them, a person who must be obeyed at the risk of losing what they perceive to be their salvation.
So a religious practice is anything that adds to or replaces what The Bible says because the person does not believe God alone is sufficient to achieve what the person desires to achieve or has an incorrect understanding of their relationship with God.
Salvation requiring us to do something to be acceptable
Prayers to people other than God in the belief these people can help us
Baptism being necessary to be saved
Assigning special supernatural results to baptism, communion, confirmation or other ceremonies or ‘sacraments’
Having ceremonies not in the Bible that supposedly have supernatural results, like anointing of the dying. Often these are called something special like sacrament or rites.
And whatever else requires you to do something when God said He has finished what you are trying to achieve and that you only need to believe in His finished work and act on the requirements to maintain it.
There is a difference in doing something to be acceptable to God and maintaining by obedience what God has done for you.
Does the Mosaic Law still apply?
The principles of God that are behind The Mosaic Law of which the expression of His type of love is one are all eternal and so always apply. However the way they are carried out may be different.
So we may not carry out the Mosaic Law in the way the Jews had too but we still need to obey the eternal principles in it of which the Ten Commandments are an example.
While we do not need to carry out The Mosaic Law we still need to obey the principles of God that are expressed in it.
However, the laws that are no linger applicable or have been made of no effect on Christians because of Calvary do not need to be observed. This means the Jewish feasts are still relevant as are the Sabbath day, Shemetah year and Jubilee year.
Remember that Jesus lived according to The principles of The Mosaic Law so we should also, except we are no longer reacquired to carry out doing the parts of The Law that were made redundant by His death at Calvary and by our now being God’s Temple and not a building.
In other words the sacrificial law and the priestly requirements of The Temple are no longer necessary to be done by us. So anyone doing these or saying these or similar requirements are necessary are in error.
We no longer need priests, alters, sacrifices or temple ritual. We are now the priests, sacrifice was done away with at Calvary and we are now the priests/priestesses of God and the Temple He dwells in.
The resurrection body
Te main error is to belief there was no resurrection so that there is no resurrection body after death.
It was the actual resurrection of Jesus that encouraged the faith of the early Christian church and so to say it did not happen is to ignore the witness of all those who saw Him after His earthly death.
Not to believe in the resurrection calls Jesus a liar.
Supernatural visitations by people
The only people ever used by God for visitations (excluding the Resurrection visitations of Jesus) are angels, except once when Samuel was conjured up by the Witch of Endor. So anyone appearing apart from these is a demon in disguise.
It is interesting that the first apparition of The Virgin Mary was 2 years before she died. Satan was not allowed to appear any earlier to imitate the post resurrection visits of Jesus with a demon that looked liked Mary.
We are to test the spirits to see if they are from God or Satan as Satan can appear to be an angel of God if He desires too.
He can appear as an angel or anyone else but He cannot appear as Jesus.
A cult is a Faith that says it is Christian but promotes doctrine that is incorrect and which it will not give up. Faiths that accept the doctrine of modern Bibles are really cults because the doctrine of modern Bibles is incorrect and does not believe the same as early Christianity did and so is inconsistent with the doctrine passed down from the Apostles to now.
The danger of a cult can be that it looks like Christianity so people join it but has error which negates it from being Christian.
All cults have a wrong view of The Lord Jesus and The Holy Spirit so that misunderstand their attributes, character, work and requirements of us. So their doctrine becomes unsound as all doctrine is based on a correct understanding these things.
Modern Bibles are based on three codices: two of which are proven forgeries and one is not of the period considered usable for accurate translations of the Bible. It is all covered in my book on the Humanisation of Jesus. This means modern Christianity that rejects the King James Bible is really a cult changing the truths of Christianity and putting them in a bible that appears to be correct but which alters what the true Bible says.
These ‘bibles’ treat Jesus as being human and not divine which means other religion can now fellowship with ‘modern Christians’ as equals having no problems with the doctrine in modern Bibles.
If you do the research you will see this and understand why books have been written basically asking why modern Bibles reject the traditions passed down from the Apostles and treat Jesus in a way true Christianity does not.
Our Lord (King) is Jesus. We serve Him. He tells us how we are to live and serve Him. This means our focus should be on His Will and requirements for us and we should always walk with one ear listening to The Holy Spirit who is our guide and tells us what Jesus requires of us as well as instructs us how to carry them out.
Matt 6:33 summarizes it all:
(ASV) But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
(BBE) But let your first care be for his kingdom and his righteousness; and all these other things will be given to you in addition.
(CEV) But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well.
Between the three translations you get the idea of what this verse means. We are to seek the purposes of God and His Kingdom and develop the relationship we have with Him (which is salvation) and as a good King He will give us all we need to do these things.
Satan has his world system around us like a big smokescreen to hide Jesus, The Kingdom of God and God’s Will for us as well as to distract us from correctly hearing The Holy Spirit so we will not know what Jesus desires us to do or how He desires us to do it.
So we need to learn how Satan tries to influence us to stop us hearing The Holy Spirit and seeing Jesus and His Kingdom.
This means you need to:
Learn how to clearly hear The Holy Spirit
How Jesus requires you to live and how He desires you to serve and represent Him.
How Satan tries to influence you through his world system (in other words how he attacks us)
How to free people from his influences on the (deliverance) and how to destroy his works (healing and spiritual warfare) and remove his world system from around us
Why is The Holy Spirit the first on the list?
He is the one who tells you what Jesus desires of you and gives you understanding of these things as well as of spiritual things and of how Jesus desires you to do them. You cannot be a Citizen of The kingdom of God unless you are guided by The Holy Spirit (Rom 8:14).
If The Holy Spirit is not guiding you then it is either reason or a demon telling you what to do and you will not see clearly what Jesus desires you to do or how He desires you to do it.
According to what you hold precious will be the focus and priorities and what you will devote yourself too. Examine how you spend your time, what you devote your energies too, what kind of inputs you allow into your life and your attitudes to things as this will show what your focus in life is.
According for your desire to know The Father, Jesus and The Holy Spirit will be what your focus is on and what inputs you allow into your life.
All error is a result of either”
Not knowing your relationship with God
Not knowing what God says about something. (It has to be deliberate disobedience before it is sin).
Not wanting to believe what the Bible says and making it say what you want it to say. If you believed what The Bible said about how God preserved it you would not have error.
Usually it is man’s reasoning that causes the problem which means faith has been overcome with reason or overcome by a lust that makes the wrong interpretation more enjoyable than the true interpretation of the scripture(s).
The problem is that if you modify what the Bible says in some way you are saying it is not true which means you cannot believe any of it so must reject all it says. You cannot half believe something. It is all or nothing.
As you have no real reference to check the new translations accuracy then you cannot say that the ‘new’ bible is more correct than the one rejected (the King James Bible).
You either believe it is what God has said and obey it all at face value, or reject a part of it and say it is not all from God so you cannot believe any of it as you do not know what part is not from God.
If it is in The Bible and accurately stated then God accepts it as doctrine and practice.
If it is in The Bible and purposely mistranslated so that error occurs then it is not acceptable to God
If it is not in The Bible it cannot be doctrine and if it breaks the tests for something because it is non-Biblical then it cannot be a practice or belief.
If it is a practice that is not in The Bible that passes the tests for non-Biblical things to be acceptable as a practice it cannot be doctrine and cannot be enforced on others and can only be held as a personal belief and not an absolute belief of faith.
